Did not think that was possible?
Please HELP. I need someone in the Portland OR area who can plug into my 2010 mini and activate the heartbeat (alarm) light on top of the tach so that it blinks when I use the fob to lock the doors (just like it would if I actually had an alarm). I know this is an easy mod but I'm just not sure I understand how to do it. I would need a literal step by step walkthru. Is there anyone in the area who can do this for me?
So I'm taking the mini to a guy at Bavarian Motorworks in Vancouver WA tomorrow afternoon. He says he can mod the code in the Mini's computer so the heartbeat light starts blinking when you use the fob to lock the doors. He's never done it to a mini but has to bmws so he's pretty confident it won't be much different. If he is successful I'll be sure to post the good news so anyone else in the area can contact him to have their Mini's heartbeat brought to life.

If I recall, up until MY 2010, the wiring to the red heartbeat light was installed in all cars, with or without OEM alarm system from the factory
But with MY 2011 and on, this is no longer true. So if your car was not ordered with OEM alarm, you wouldn't be able to activate the heartbeat

Not true, for MY 2011 and on, as per MINI official alarm retrofit instructions, you just need to add 2 wires and activate the heartbeat through coding and it will work. You need to run wires from Plug X9002 (Plug to tach), slots11 & 12 to Plug X14272 (One of the Plugs at the interior Fuse Box), slots 23 & 11 respectively. So X9002: 11 --> X14272: 23 and X9002: 12 --> X14272. And I believe you may need to add a 7.5A fuse to F27 as well.
I was not saying it's not doable. But only activating it in NCSexpert is not enough anymore.
Got ya! Agreed. Sorry I misunderstood.
$5 part can open your car. Since Mini's have no other option to open them, is there anything that can be done? Using NCS Expert to disable remote opening might be possible but then how would you open the door?

Anyone code a 2013 yet?
I am looking for the R56 Datens for my 2013 R57. After selecting CAS in NCSexpert, I get "The following feature is invalid for FA: $2GS"
The latest I could find was v45, but it appears there is a v49 and possibly a v50 running around.

I've posted 49.4 here, try a search or look at my posts, if you can't find it let me know. I'd give u a link but I'm on mobile right now.
You need to use datens 49.4. That's what I use for a 2013 R56. I believe that I did a google search and found it. I've done the seatbelt warning and many other changes without any problems.
I've posted it on my google drive for those who want it. There is a rar compressed version and a zip version take your pick they are the same.

Thanks Cerenkov!
Are you selecting R56?
Let us know if you get access to the 2RAD
I have a 2008, with Ediabas 7.3 and datens v49.4 running great on it. The only thing which is weird to me is some of the codes (especially for lights) are in the standard BMW format as seen on some other forums, and not the ones in our spreadsheet.
Hi guys I wanted to know if I could get some guidance here. I know that all MINI's before had option code 8KC specifying 24months or 15000 mile oil change interval. How can we change change the option code to 8KL which is the new service interval specifying the shorter oil change interval . I need cuidance in modifing the VO.
Thanks
Thanks
