I agree you probably need the v43 datens to recode the SHD module. As mentioned above, a different trace file is not going to help you.
One other thing you can try is to initialize the sunroof module:
With the engine running and the sunroof fully closed, hold the sunroof close switch at the first detent for approximately 20 seconds. Continue to hold until the sunroof completes one full cycle.

So i tried the v43 datens light for R56 from the link in the bmwcoding.com. But when i ran the laden.bat, a RR1 folder is created. As far as i know i have a Mini, not a Rolls Royce. Anyway i launch NCS, then when i chose R56 from the list, an error message came, something wrong with the VIN code.
Maybe do i have to download the full version of v43 datens ? Or upgrade NCS ?
I tried v40 datens, and i have the same results as with the v38:still have my problem with the message "anti pinching de-activated".
Newbie question, before launching NCS, i have to close the INPA window, right?
The sunroof initilization does work for me, after 20 seconds pushing the switch, both sunroof open vertically and then nothings more.
I think i really need an example of a "healthy" TRC SHD file... Can you?

You need to copy the files from the archive over manually into your install on the C drive.
Once you do that it should work fine.
/SP-daten-R56/cfgdat/*.* -> C:\NCSEXPR\CFGDAT\*.*
/SP-daten-R56/daten/*.* -> C:\NCSEXPR\DATEN\R56\*.*
/SP-daten-R56/ecu/*.* -> C:\EDIABAS\ECU\*.*
/SP-daten-R56/sgdat/*.* -> C:\NCSEXPR\SGDAT\*.*

A different trace file is not going to help!!!!!
You need to get the V43 installed and then "default" (process CPU button) the SHD module with the trace file manipulation turned off in the profile within NCS Expert.
Here is my FSW_PSW.SHD_R56.C03.TRC (1/08) but it won't help. And I highly recommend you do not use it.

You have to remove the error codes for anti-pinching, otherwise automatic opening/closing are disabled. Do that in INPA.
As for the DATEN Installation... You also need to update the ECU files used by EDIABAS\ECU.
The automatic installation option "LADEN.BAT" only works if you have previously installed "BMW Standard Tools" as it searches for the folders (even if some are empty).

Following Strobeyprobey, i did reset the SHD module, and now the "anti piching default" is gone. Thank you very much! (i used datens v38)
Now i will try to code better =)
So now, i don't know, should i use v38, or v43. Knowing that i did what Strobeyprobey wrote earlier (but in the v43 archive i don't have a DATA folder), but in NCS still the same error "Chassis wrong". And in the NCSEXPER/DATEN a RR1 is created when i use the laden.bat.
Did not test adding ECU files in the EDIABAS\ECU yet.

R56 "CIC" module?
I'm watching some of the work that's going on over at BMWCoding.com and I'm interested in some of the features that they are tweaking in the BMW "CIC" module. Anyone have a guess as to which module that might be in the MINI? Specifically, I'm looking at the Video In Motion changes. My car has been at the body shop for the past week so I'm just getting to the point that I can connect it up and start poking around.
Here's a mostly complete list of possible modules. You may or may not have everything listed (depending on your car's options).
2MULF - Bluetooth/USB module
2RAD - Radio Module
4BMOT - Digital Motor Electronics (DME)
ABG - Airbag Module
AHM - Trailer Module
AMPH - Hi-Fi Amplifier
CAPPL - Navigation Module
CAS - Car Access System
CCC - Car Communication Computer
CID - Central Information Display
DDE - Digital Diesel Electronics
DSC - Dynamic Stability Control
EGS - Electronic Transmission Control
EPS - Electromechanical Power Steering
FRM - Footwell Module (lighting / window controls)
IHKA - Integrated Automatic Heating/Cooling System
IHKS - Integrated Heating/Cooling System
IHS - Integrated Heater Control
KOMBI - Instrument Cluster
MJOY - MINI joystick
PDC - Park Distance Control
PGS - Passive Go System
RLS - Rain-Light Sensor
SHD - Sunroof Module
SPEG - System Power Electronics Gateway (fuse box "brains")
SZL - Steering Column Switch Cluster

Yes... CIC is the new navigation system on 2011+ MINIs. It replaces the CCC and related sub-modules (CAPPL, CTUNE, CHOST etc.). It is a single mechanical unit, but it lists as several ECUs on the CAN bus. Both the CCC and the CIC serve as host units for the optical MOST bus (i.e. they are connected to both the CAN and MOST buses, whereas the rest of the devices are part of either but not both).
Have you resolve your problem ?
I tried to code my car to have 2011 facelift tachymetre, but when the KOMBI restart, I see a coupe with a faulty spoiler ...
My local dealer don't know the solution ...
I lost my fuel gauge, and my tachymetre doesn't work ...
thanks
The dealer can correct this by reprogramming the KOMBI module but if you do a couple of searches on NAM (v34 or something similar), you'll find that updating your software and using the v34 daten files will fix this issue. PM me if you can't get it sorted out with a little effort and I'll see if I can help.
They told me they can't reprogramming only the KOMBI module, they told me that they need to reprog ALL the module of the car ...
Yes, I have replaced my datens, and now I have v43, but after the update, and I know what to do with NCS ... ?
Sorry for no searching, but a friend who live far (50kms from me), give me their computer for to fix it, and I have only 30% of battery and no charger !!.
Thanks ,
Antoine

I can make the program work with the NCS daten V43 only if I no copy the files in the folder CFGDAT.
even if I copy the files in this folder is usually a mistake to frame! Is this normal?
that is, if I copy only the folders:
Daten
ECU
SGDAT
The program works perfectly.
and I think I even managed to update daten because in the top right, has changed the number (Nrcl-NO)
How can I be sure that datens relamente is installed correctly?

I need some help. My wife's clubby was running rough and went to the shop to get fixed. They updated the computer and wiped out all of my coding changes. I went to put them back and used V41 Daten and after coding the KOMBI it thinks its a Coupe with stuck spoiler. I can't for the life of me figure out how to default it. I have updated to V45 datens. Any help is appreciated.
You use Expertmode profile instead of the FSW PSW profile.
Read the module and then change the job (f2) to Sg_Coderin (sp?) and then code the module. All functions in that module return to default.
Don't need to do anything with the. man files etc in this profile mode.

Got it! Thanks for the help!!!
Edit: For the record. Use V45 datens! If your car has been to the dealer recently they have likely updated to V45 and if you use anything lower your car will think it is a Coupe with a stuck spoiler.

Help! My MINI's dead
OK. Here's the deal. Looks like I've dorked my MINI. There I said it. Now to the details. I got ahold of the cable, followed the instructions given by Comasysthesis in the Complete NCS Expert DIY thread to get it installed. I plugged up my MINI, got a connection. Was able to see her VIN connect. Opened up some of the applications. Thought everything is good, now I can start researching the next phase. Shut it all down. Got into the car and she has what looks like an airbag warning light. She won't start. Just gives me a click. Tried a couple of times. Now all I get is a Key symbol. Now here's a note that might be important. I have Comfort access. When I was doing the computer stuff, I was sitting outside the car on the garage floor with the key fob in my pocket.
At this point I'm thinking (hoping) that what has happened is that she has lost my key info. But that's a guess. Any ideas?
