EIM Warm Weather Babble
A couple of folks have inquired about the EIM shirt I wore during the MTTS Iowa transit, with the popular grill badge graphic designed by HYPRRR06 on the back.
I believe this link to my CafePress page will work if you're interested -

Enjoy!

You'll have to take that up with CafePress, as purple wasn't available as an option on the Men's Tee.
If it had been, do you really think for even a moment that I would have dared to leave it out? Silly!

Jimmy Jack Rib Shack on Saturday?
If you are coming to the Jimmy Jack Rib Shack event on Saturday in Iowa City, please consider this small addition to our drive, and let us know if you want to add this 2-mile extension to the route.
The driveway to the VLBA is a little treacherous because of a few dangerously deep potholes in the gravel, but it's doable with slow, watchful maneuvering.

If I am going to be branded a temptress, how about this:

I am really tempted by every item Go Badges sells! I really think I need the neck rest

Bad news for one of our Mini family...a pickup truck backed into Jay's Mini last night...and tried to make a run for it. Thankfully, bystanders got his license plate, etc. Hopefully, insurance will take care of the damage.
Seems to me that I have heard someone talk about a body shop that does great work on Minis, but I don't know where I heard it or who it was that was talking about it. If anyone knows, will you let me know so I can relay the info to Jay? He is pretty bummed, as you can imagine.

That is very sad news, indeed! I was very happy with Bob Mickey Collision in Cedar Rapids, but that would be long ways for Jay. I hope he is up and running again, soon!
Total bummer! Hope the damage isn't too bad.
I remember when someone out in northern VA scraped the front bumper on SFAX. It was a pretty sad day, but there was a silver lining. Since I needed to R&R the front bumper skin I figured it was the perfect opportunity to upgrade to an Aero Kit! (So there you go Jay -- time to turn that frown upside down!)
Maybe some of the Quad Cities area folks have a body shop recommendation...

Hi Mini Friends!
Just sittin here at the dealership here in Schaumburg, IL waiting on an oil/filter change. Hope they don't try to charge me for washer fluid again. Just recently got some new tires too. Continental DWS Extreme contact. I wore the crap out of my Hankooks. What a major difference. These tires feel good! I hope there is some Motoring in my future. I gearing towards the Annual Fall Drive or Eureka.
Eureka would probably be best...then I can see my folks. But as usual $$/Time is the issue.

Looking ahead to my trip to Florida in a couple weeks, I think I need some sort of bug guard for the front of the Mini. Likely be swarms of lovebugs again, and getting them off the bumper is a pain in the boot. Has anyone used a mesh bra, and did it work?
Many years ago I had a LaBra on a Mini Van and as long as you remove regularly and clean the sand out of the bra I did not have to many problems with the paint. Over a 3 year period I did notice some scratching on the clearcoat.
I am pretty excited to part with my hard earned cash for some of this stuff:
