One other thought...as you may recall, the last time we participated in this event (up in Winona) we did not register because we were only there for a couple of days and had no intention of joining in any of the paid events.

That model could certainly be repeated.

 

Yes! I like that idea, a lot If anyone is thinking of going, I'm going to put it back on my calendar. I missed the Border Skirmish (one of my favorite events) and the SD trip, (also one of my favorites of all time).

 

I may just do this. What sort of time window are you interested in? I'm a couple of hours closer so it's less of an impact to me. I was thinking about going over either Thursday evening or Friday morning, and coming home either late Saturday or early Sunday.

 

We have family to stay with, so I think we'll get there Thursday night and leave Saturday or Sunday. Looks like a good match!

If anyone is interested...I am planning on driving down to St. Louis to join the Mini Takes the States parade from STL to Chicago. I'm going to stay at the Crown Plaza hotel the night of the 5th and head out with everyone else on the sixth. I think I will check in in Chicago then head back home rather than spend the night.

Anyone else planning on doing that leg of the trip?

 

I am taking the BIGMINI into St Louis Monday morning, be there about 10 AM. My daughter lives there so will be doing the events at the dealership and elsewhere, staying with them Monday night then head out to Chicago. No decision yet but may head back to Ia about Springfield. See you in St Louie!
