We need a place to yak. Technically, the "Wintertime Chat Room" should be placed in a dormant state for the next nine months. Doing so makes me since it makes the return of wintry weather seem far, far away...

My service warranty is up in less than 1500mi. I have 1yr/12kmi to renew the service warranty. Cost of renew is $1800-$2000.

Should I:
A. renew warranty
B. pay for service as I need to
C. learn to work on my MINI
D. other

I have driven buy it several times before and this time I decided to stop and leave an EIM card. But I was trumped by the EIM decal on the rear window.

Yep, you guessed it. She was caught by the photog listening to a pre-release version of one of her son's new songs...you can tell she liked it.

 

Might be Steve and Nik (westernilmini) unless Tim and Jan (getting grey) have picked up the mirror caps recently (Tim and Jan's MINI has a carbon fiber scoop).

I am in the market for new tires. I am most pleased with the stock,
all weather, run flats by Continental but they come with a $200+ price tag which I cant afford. I have an offer to get "Hankook" Ventus V4 tires at a good price but I've never heard of Hankook before and some reviews were not favorable.
So, you guys know what tires work best and I am open for suggestions but please don't kill my pocketbook.

 

I'm always interested in oil and tire tips. I have my pencil ready. Go!

 

Saturday, 24 April: wash/strip, claybar, deep polish with Swirl, final polish with Finish, a coat of Epic, and Black Wow on the trim. Actually blistered my right palm; obviously my detailing endurance is woefully lacking...
