Never heard of that happening before. I trust you didn't lose the lower half down into the oil pan...

BMW Z3 Coupe, I believe. They only made them one year (1999) so there aren't a lot of 'em running around.

That's a shame. It is the one BMW I have seen that impressed me -- beautiful lines; looked like a good handler, too -- and driven well yesterday. It reminds me of the Jag XK-E that I slobbered over as a youngster

Thanks for the info

The heat's getting to all of us.

I was at Coralville's 4thfest parade yesterday and it was quite fun. I was wondering if EIM has ever had a presence in the parade and, if not, whether we should start thinking about doing something for next year's parade.

Really great looking True Blue Countryman!!!!! . ( partial to blue)

MINI dipsticks usually last around 5 years. KOOLBLU's hung on by a thread awhile back, and I was just barely able to successfully get it out. Also, passenger-side upper motor mount gets to be replaced again ( about 25k miles per).

And HOT. KOOLBLU's temp said 106 when I got into it after work Tuesday. ( windows open)

Hood Scoop

Now the ole' hood scoop is starting to warp, we'll see how bad it gets before I dig the spare off the shelf that the dealer sent me awhile back. Been holding off since it wasn't warped much.

Not sure if you've seen these before, but one might help extend the life of your replacement scoop:

Hard to go wrong for the relatively cheap investment.

I am really pleased with the window tinting I had done a few months ago. Last year at this time, if parked in the sun, it would get so hot inside the Mini that you couldn't even sit down for a few minutes. With the tinting, it is actually cooler inside the car than outside when you get in!! Best $$$ yet!

You've practically sold me on doing this.

Me, too! I could barely touch the steering wheel after she sat in the sun this afternoon! I also forgot to leave the windows open a smidge so it was horrendously hot in there!

Yo deanman -- hoping that your eye surgery went smoothly today.

Here's to a fast recovery, and that you enjoy your new eagle-eyed vision.

All seems to have gone will with my lens implant. One more to go, then I hope I can see well enough to enjoy more MINI events. Thanks for your thoughts.

A couple of folks have inquired about the EIM shirt I wore during the MTTS Iowa transit, with the popular grill badge graphic designed by HYPRRR06 on the back.

I believe this link to my CafePress page will work if you're interested -

Enjoy!

And a very nice shirt it is! I think we should all get one and plan to wear it at some EIM event.
