Received my copy of MC2 magazine in the mail today, and noticed that Jonathan's write up of R4TO is in it (page 62).

I find it pretty cool that the picture of MINIs used in the article shows them crossing the suspension bridge at Beaver, AR. I believe it was us EIMers that originally came up with the idea of motoring to and over the bridge, with my brother Doug sharing the driving directions with the other MINI folk.

OMG! Now you're doing fabulous videos??? First it's great photos, and now videos. We'll continue to expect great things now that we know. BTW, I ordered my unofficial shirt for the May event. Don't forget to pack that camera, Jo.

So le Capitaine Dean...are you going to share your source? (Remember, we liked your R4TO design a lot more than the "official" one...)

Also love Smoky's video clip...the commentary makes you believe his MINI is going to fall through the bridge deck at any moment.

Great video, Jo! You seem to have a real affection for bridges! The Sabula bridge was great fun, too. You definitely need to go to South Dakota as they have pigtail bridges that you will LOVE!

On another subject that really has nothing to do with our cars- I picked up my new eyeglasses today. Anyone want to guess what color they are? Yup, I did.

Mike, I deduced from Roger's original announcement that he wanted interested folks to email him directly to let him know they plan on coming. His email address is listed in the Event Calendar Entry.

Sounds like he'll let deanman know who's coming from our neck of the woods, in case we want to motor over there as a group.

This babble actually deals with warm weather.

It's going to be a a great day...Sunny & 68+ degrees.
("A few of my favorite things" plays thru the TV while I type this)

I just came down with a serious case of OCMD.

I'll be shined up and looking good for the last event .

So GW -- are you going to tease us and leave us in the lurch, or are you going to post any pics of the wheels that replaced these?

Looks like the Daytonas were still in use during the Fall Tour, according to forensic photo evidence...

New wheels for OVREZE

as promised

The Wheels are Rota Auto-X and tires are Yokahama Avid Envigors, the wheels lip is more of a candy apple red (wish it was closer to my beltline red) but overall pleased with the results.

Wow, what a transformation! I love the way the wheels, beltline, roof, mirror caps, and bonnet stripes all tie together. It looks fantastic. Something tells me you will be detailing those white wheels just a bit more often than the Daytonas.

How about some white side marker/scuttle lenses to tie in with those sexy new wheels? (It's always easy to offer suggestions when it's someone else's $$ )

I know side markers are next. I did put a couple coats of wheel wax on before I mounted them, hope that helps.

So I was pondering deep thoughts this evening...

...do we continue to chat here in the Warm Weather Babble thread (even though the weather now is not at all warm)...

...or do we dust off the Wintertime Chat Room (even though winter is still almost a month away)?

I hate to say this, but after being outside off and on today, I think it is time to dust off the Winter chat room aswell.
