Drivetrain 231.9WHP with new big valve head. Stock cam and ECU.
Paul,
You are the Fireballed distributor right? Yes as well as loads of others as well.
Between NAM and MM you keep badgering JAN to give you a head to test and to see the data on his header and exhaust development. Why would he spend the money developing products only to give you, the competition, his test DATA?
I think the only reason he hasn't given the figures out is that they are so poor.
Only Jan knows the total # of heads sold. Contrary to popular belief, I have a real job and don't work with or for Jan. I wouldn't have a clue other then allot
. I talked to him today and he told me he sold three more heads yesterday.
I'm glad to see he's getting a return on his investment. His real job must be suffering a bit, mind you he's very organised
I do know that there are at least one maybe two running around your little island.
I'm sure there will be, we dont care whose products we fit as long as it goes out the door making more horsepower than it come in with
Just having fun,
Its always good to have fun but can we now get back on topic

SOHe is in the import/export business
.As for me, I'm a Operations Manager for a Manufacturing/Distribution company. We had a 4 Million + month so I personally BBQ for 60 employees today. I stink and need a shower.
I think it would be hard for anyone to make a "good" living off just mini stuff.

Longboard obviously at 231.9
Rustyboy had his pre Jesus head sheet but not his post, unless I missed it??
Eric Savage at 206whp but dont forget he's got a stock manifold.
And finally gnatster who gets my award 219-230 at 7800 on 5 differnt dynos and various states.
I think gnatster has a lot of drag racer inside him trying to get out.

I had the pleasure of meeting him and bench racing with him in Cali and at Pomona
Yea at the moment that's the plan, going to do 8 or 9 more DE's this year then start with a plan for the MINI that make sense.
I have a custom Burns Stainless exhaust system (3" splitting to 2 - 2.5"pipes at the rear Y) on my car. As soon as the custom Burns Stainless header (4-1; 3" downpipe) is installed, I'll post some pics (and, hopefully, audio) of the entire system. The header was supposed to have been finished some time ago, but Chris of CPR Fabrication has been swamped with work, and I want him to do the job because of the outstanding quality of his work. Yes, the system is quite expensive, but it is in the ultra-class quality and performance category.
As stated previously, the Burns Stainless route is not for everyone, primarily because of the expense. RMW seems to have found a fairly viable, and less expensive, alternative that should appeal to a wider audience of zealous Mini people.
As an aside, with all the developments over the past year or two (IC's, heads, headers, exhausts, engine management systems, etc.), there are and will be more very hot Mini's on the road. IMO, a few hp here or there, really isn't all that important, except maybe for dragsters. The cars are now in the range of being serious giant killers
. I certainly extend kudos to all those developers and tinkerers who have made such major contributions to the Mini community

If you wish to buy or promote a product you have to know the facts, If i have to select a BBC cylinder head for a customer to buy I would consult the manufactures like AFR Brodix etc etc and consult the cc of the Intake and Exhaust and then look at the flow figures. Please note these manufactures publish there head figures because thats how they sell there products.
At this point I would make an educated guess which one to use then have a cam designed for that combo.
So if a customer walks into my shop now asking about Mini cylinder heads I can show him stock figures, Fireballed figures, JCW figures, BBR figures CNCuk figures, same flowbench same day, plus I also list Dons Wegner figures, then the customer can decide or discuss which one he wants.
Jans head will no doubt be used as a starting point for someone else to improve on it, because thats what happens in this sort of world we live in now, in fact I feel sorry for those who have put the effort into designing this stuff when it can be so easily copied by sophisticated cnc machines.
I'm sure one of Jans heads will land up on our fowbench over here one day, then the truth will be revealed.

I can tell where you're going with all this...you're on a mission to disprove and discredit anything the Jesus head offers...it's written all over your forehead...

He has been at it for awhile. It just took him longer to show he was like the others.

That was with the Webb head and I had a boost leak peaking out at 12.5psi (which has since been fixed)...and that was 197whp BTW...You're misquoting the information I posted at MMMC...

Don't know if my SC is takin a vacation in Florida (I keep finding pristine yellowish oil residue in my DFIC not from motor) and/or the Unichip isn't doin squat...Regardless, I'm looking forward to the "Heysoos Head" to cure my need for speed...

OT...I'm a God Fearing Christian so I choose to rename this hot cylinder head "Heysoos"...but for those of you who think it's ok to insult the Christians, then I say be fair and challenge you to insult the black/hispanics/women/muslims while you're at it...

I would of thought you lot would of figured out by now that I like facts and fiqures, it wouldn't taken a genius to work out that I asked the question while looking through all 54 pages of this thread so I must of seen the above

So did you go back on with the boost leak fixed and dyno it again and have you been back on with the Jesus head since??
