Jan and I spoke and he is going to try and ship on Friday.... it will probably take a week to get here..... I called Way and he is staged to come to Atl to put it on. I'm making some other changes... maybe putting on a new exhaust (I love the sound of the Milltek) Jan likes the newest version of the Magnaflow.

As far as the DFIC... I still like the concept.....

Longboard, glad to see you are back safely I hope you didn't spend to much time in those cafes LOL

So now you have started on Project X 300 (which I presume is whp) does this finally mean that you have been back on the dyno and now have the deltas for the header??

We actually was given a Mini Mania 421 header on Wednesday and we put it on our Cooper test car yesterday and it made 4whp more peak and it showed a gain all over in palces but espically from 4600 upwards

Good to see the new toys coming out.....

but while I was off with the new kid, it occured to me that (and this is wayyy off topic) that Jan got booted from NAM for being contancerous in his posting, and very agressive to boot! He was just a lowly member then, and kept calling out vendors for selling crap. I don't think they liked it. But lo and behold, you call him in person and he's the nicest guy who will take the time to answer your questions. Remind you of someone else who posts here?

Just some food for thought......

Back to the regularly scheduled stuff....

I was hoping that they'd meet at the dragon, and have a beer together to chill. If I'd been there, I would have paid for it! Oh well, maybe next year....

You know what would be sweet is a photo of them all together. You need to cut and paste their photos together and adopt that as your sig pic.

A different question for you guys with the "jesus" head:
How is the new head influencing the mpg?

(had to pay € 78.- (about $105.-) to fill up the car yesterday)

No effect for me (27)...unless you count the mpg drop that seems to coorespond with the increased pedal drop frequency after the head install...

Typically non of these aftermarket componenets drop yr gas mileage but that cannot be said about your right foot .

Thanks!
That's what I hoped for.

I understand that with the power increase the foot will drop more

Do a bit of research, I think you'll find that the Prius in real world doesn't get even close (15-25% lower) to the published EPA gas milage. The current generation Prius would be hard pressed to beat the current R56 Cooper S even on combined gas milage.

Hmmm. In California at least, the Prius' battery pack is covered by a 10 year/150,000 mile emission control warranty.

that might be a california thing, or something weird like that, cuz i have talked to a person that got owned by said occurance, and they were ticked enough cuz of the not as advertised mpg, they were asking me about my car at a gas station, i dunno how long they had had the car for though...

It all depends on how you drive the car. Leadfoot any car, and your gas mileage will suffer. Drive it like a hybrid car (take advantage of the features like regenerative braking, let it coast when cars in front of you are hitting their brakes, etc.) and you can get the mileage claimed. The Prius can't handle anywhere near like what the MINI can, but that is why the MINI exists - horses for courses....

Also, comparing the current gen Prius to the "next" gen MINI is not exactly an honest comparison. The next generation Prius (2009 model year?) is slated to get 100/90 mpg using a revised mileage cycle that factors higher highway speeds as well as a more aggressive acceleration profile.... As I said, horses for courses....

Jesus vs ...

This is the greatest thread. No matter what, I can depend on it for OT entertainment every few days. It has a life of its own.

I have a real head question: has anyone tried both the Fireballed head and the Jesus head? If so, any substantial difference (all other things being equal).

Living in Long Beach, CA, I am happy to say that I pretty much have my pick between the two. (lucky me!!!)

Thanks in advance.
