No, that's the darn good Tech that installed the head for both Longboard Mini and myself. The head is by Revolution Mini.

OT...I'm a God Fearing Christian so I choose to rename this hot cylinder head "Heysoos"...but for those of you who think it's ok to insult the Christians, then I say be fair and challenge you to insult the black/hispanics/women/muslims while you're at it...
I go with the "name" cause everyone that has driven my Mini since the head was installed gets back with a big cheshire cat type grin and says "Jesus!!...that was incredible". Guess if I go to a more Latino area they would say "Haysoos!!...muy incedibilelamente".

Danny is awesome, I challenge anyone to beat his prices for the job he does . Anyone looking to get their car serviced or parts installed should go see him, like others have said, it's not the prettiest looking shop, but the work is top notch .

I'm going banana's waiting for numbers. Suffice to say my car feels about as fast as my old one right now .

Gnatster is not kidding. Those were the words that fell out of the stupid grin I was wearing after a 10 minute "test" drive in his MINI. His car pulls like a beast and doesn't quit. This is a torque monster but that's only part of it. I did a rolling 30 mph on-ramp punch in third gear - the tip-in throttle response and sheer acceleration impressed the heck out of me. The power "on demand" of this head - given the fact that it still has a stock cam and ECU is incredible.

I wish this was in my "mod budget" because I think it was well worth the investment!

Throttle response is incredible. Before I could floor the gas and the RPM's wouldn't even move... now I blip the throttle and it shoots up to 2500 rpm's.

I can stick the car in 6th on the freeway at 55-60 MPH and pull to WELL beyond legal speeds with no problem at all VERY quickly. I can easily pass any other cars on the freeway without needing to downshift. Before the head I couldn't do much more than hold about 35-40 MPH up a hill near my house, now in 5th gear I can accelerate up the hill.

El D has managed to do what nobody else has been able to do here, the stuff he's coming out with is just... revolutionary.

Anyone at the Dragon going to have this head?

I won't make it out this year...I could be mistaken, but I think both Longboard and Jan will be there. If anyone's going to Bimmerfest on May 5th I'll be there .

would you be willing to put this on Lucky Dog's dyno that he is bringing to the Dragon?

I would like to look at your vehicle at MOTD and possibly take a spin in it to feel the head in action... Thanks Pete

I really doubt it will, but it's a great request by spiderx. I understand why it won't, too. By putting those cars on another vendor's dyno, there's all sorts of opportunity for controversy; I doubt people in the business of making money (who already have lots of positive press - read above) will risk it, unless of course they truly stand behind their results.

I think a dyno shoot out would be all in good fun. SpiderX will you dyno your car in front of all?

I think most of us know that dyno's are better used as tools to show a delta, not to compare to other dyno's.

What type of dyno is it?

People have seen up to 25% differences between different types of dyno's .

Right, which is why you all should line up and get dynoed one by one. I didn't think so, either...

Sure.....

my point is not to embarass but rather to gain info......

I have enough experience at dynos to know..... if the dyno is there there will be other cars etc to compare relative numbers...... My car did X whp in NY or AZ or MN and here it does X+/-

just a thought.....

I won't be at the dragon, or I'd gladly dyno my car. I have nothing to prove. I know where my car dynoed before, and on Monday i'll know where it dyno's after .

More importantly, I know how it drives... MUCH BETTER!

Great stuff SpiderX and I've read enough from you to know you're not out to embarass! It will be very informative to compare the torque/HP plots of your M62 beast to other MINIs on the same dyno on the same day!

Spider you know you're pushing through a lot more boost than any of the El D head cars. All of our cars are running stock software with a pulley, intake, exhaust.

Are you running your car on the dyno with the same boost pressures as our cars? Or are you planning on running with 6-7 PSI more boost .

Run what you brung. I would think this would be more for comparison purposes rather than bragging rights. My appt is 10:30 Thurs AM. Last dyno here in ATL without the UselessChip was 189. Planning on a before and after for comparison on both.

Let the excuses begin.....

WOAH... I am not asking to "mine is bigger that yours or my mod is better" the 62 begs for a head and although I have one I am thinking that maybe I can improve..... I am a legit potential customer for the head.... that is my only interest
