Are the plugs the same heat range as NGK BKR 6 EQUP?

DEFINITLY use the sway bay. If you have to pay for it, buy an even better one off of ebay or something. That will make a huge difference. (IMHO)

What did you do to the car to require a colder plug? Are you boosting the car? Did you change your compression ratio?

This car is off the lot, dominicminicoopers. The plugs from the totalled MCS's delivery day are in my kitchen. I'm moving. So things are being used or tossed out/packed away. Not sure there is even anything to gain by installing them in a NA motor, but by the sounds of your responses, it's unlikely.

The plugs you have in the cooper are optimized for the cooper engine. The MCS ones will be too cold of a range and probably will cause poorer performance since they won't ignite as much of the fuel, or even cause a misfire/stumble.
