Which header would you get if price is not an issue?
MTH
Milltek
SS
OBX
Megan

Jackson,
What are you going to use your MINI for?
Autocross/ Street/ Car shows/ Track/ Driving events?
Headers do look nice- from under the car. Except for track use, they might not be the best investment if you have not done other upgrades such as cylinder head work and cat-back exhaust that is free flowing.
Count my vote for the coated MTH header with the Tuner software. Peerless build quality, coated for signfincantly reduced under-hood temps, great service and real seat-of-the-pants gains based on a remap that accounts for reduced back pressure.

I'm curious SandiaSky where did you get your MTH header coated and at what cost? Do you really feel that it made a difference in temperature? One last thing, I assume that you have the JCW exhaust, how is the sound quality? Thanks

I didn't want to send my header out for coating so I called several of the parts houses and a few custom rod shops and asked them who they recommended. All of them recommended a local shop (Northwest Industrial Coatings) so I figured I couldn't go wrong.
I got mine coated inside and out for $133.00, 5 day turn around and no shipping involved.
So you might try making some phone calls. There might be a coating shop right in your own backyard.
Custom sounds nice... know anyone locally that's up to the challenge?
Not exactly local but www.SMS-products.com , in Fredericksburg, is a respected maker of custom Honda headers and does other cars as well. After talking to a local guy with some and checking the SMSP site, I plan to call them and probably drive up to see what they may be able to do, for my MCS.
They do both, stainless and coated mild steel headers, and have flow tested a number of cats.
