Looks like you included a hole in the box next to the fuse box. Is this allow for easy access to the fuse box and/or unichip install? Very clever. Or that hole is to allow for someone to fit in there.

The unit will originally be offered as the induction box only, then will be offered with a replacement silicone hose as well.
Does that mean it will, or will not come with the filter as well?

He means the entire HDI box piece. That means the filter is included. Wouldnt be much of an intake without a filter, would it!

As Brian stated, it will come with all stainless steel hardware, hose clamps, HDI Box, and the UNI filter. That's all included with your hard earned $210 .

Thanks!

That's a sweet looking box! I like how purposeful and racy it looks, not all prettified.

Is the $210 just the intro price, or can I wait until my b'day in April and get one for the same price?

Buy now! Just kidding, that will be the price it is offered for regularly.

Hope that helps!

In that case, you should have in intro price of $180 for those who order by the end of day, Friday 2/10! That way I'll have an excuse for just buying one now, and not have to delay my gratification.

They are already flying off the shelf - and I priced them as competitively as possible right off the bat. I usually don't play with the whole sale and regular price thing.

I'd still love to get you one of the first ten - I've already sold three tonight!

No measurable difference, and the benefits of corrosion resistance and bling are definitely there. We played with coatings as well, and saw no difference in temps on the filter side.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks!

WOW!!!!

A real HDIB. This should be at the top of the acronymic list of intake accessories for our beloved lil' Mini's [HDIB, HAI, SID, CAI, etc.]. Randy, how long will it be till we see some valid performance data for the HDIB? I'm sure that your technical background and respect for the scientific method will make for proper testing and evaluation of this new product.

I noticed that the box seems to sit a bit higher than the ECU cover. Does this mean that use of an Upper Strut Tower Brace (USTB) may not be possible?

While polished SS is cool, powder coating might be kind of trick. How about the Gintani red to match the air-charge intake manifold and the coolant reservoir?

Thanks,

I get the filters right on the 17th - they are the hold up - so I will be waiting to post the numbers until I use the longer filter (all the testing has been with the short filter).

I plan on showing the intake temps and dyno runs (with the control method) as well as acceleration in same gear runs. I am also planning on doing some back to back comparos with other intakes on the market.

Hope that helps!
Randy

PS - The numbers are as high as any I have seen with regard to current intakes using the smaller filter.

It depends on the strut brace - I'll do more testing with other units... you know how I feel about the strut brace

I could offer powder coating for an additional cost - inquire within.

Thanks!

I Randy has one available for our VA pulley party I'll do some dyno runs.
If I can get enough set aside after buying some mods I will do some befores with my Alta in place and then some afters.
I'll give the results to Randy. He can do with it as he chooses.

I will definitely not be feeding the sharks in this pool.

RANDY!!!
I wish I would have known about this intake 13hrs. sooner! I ordered a Dinan CAI at about 9 AM today!!! I wanted an enclosed box, it was an JCW or Dinan, now WMS! Mini's get kinda dirty under the hood, and I like to keep things clean. S##T!!!
Is there anything else in the works we should know about before we spend our $$$ on?

tips for more hp!

tried adding a big WMS sticker at the top of the box for more hp? but seriously it looks like another great product and who knows... a wms decal might just add a nice finishing touch to it
