Not to stir up any heat, but I was thinking of doing this to my Pilo intake. I just might attempt to do something like this. Many props for the guys at Webb to offer yet another great option for our awesome cars!

I forgot to add, would you say this new intake beats the Pilo intake and others on the market or offer similar gains? Now that I have a few extra bucks in my pocket due to the snow storm here in Jersey (been working more then 24 hours now and working on 40 if it keeps up). Would it be worth the expense in gains if i were to get rid of the pilo and get this? Or would no gains be seen with what I have now?

Let's hope it's a bit less than that since that's about what the Alta costs.

Depends on what a couple HP is worth to you.
Best to worst intakes are darned close on HP so I'd base my decision on that.
I for instance don't expect to gain anything over the ALTA. I'm just looking for a change with no loss in HP.

Understandable, Once this snow storm blows by and the weather gets a little better, I will take my intake off and maybe modify it like the HDI. Should be very simple to do and I will do it so it can be easly undone if things do not work out. I will run some temp tests to see how everything goes.

I don't know what the duties would be, but shipping is easy enough to figure out - probably $10-15 or so.

The hose cost is up in the air - still waiting for the final numbers. I think it will run about the same as the Alta hose - it seems that's just what they cost.

Our intake is quite a bit different from a Pilo with a top, but experiments are always fun! This intake has produced the largest gains from what we've tested to date.

Thanks for the interest - I have gotten video to work on the computer, so hopefully I can figure out the sound clip thing soon.

Brian with a Lotus? Sounds like Randy finally found a driver more capable than himself? If only he could spring for a pair of coveralls for you Brian ...you would be good to go. Hope we can find some interest in the Chicago area for a Webb Return...May would work for us. Go Webb Motorsports!!

As I stated earlier in the thread, we will be getting the longer filters by week's end, and plan to do the numbers with that unit. I will be posting the data as soon as it is compiled .

Just ship'em baby! hehe... i'll let my butt dyno be the true test... not to mention my ears

This will be my first mod to my 05 S after waiting a self-imposed six months before I made any performance type modifications.

Still looking good to begin shipping tomorrow Randy?

Six months! After 6 days i was set up to have a pulley installed. If it wouldnt have been for weather, it wouldnt have waited a month. You have more will power than i do.

hehe, well, because i live in Phoenix, and it was a bazillion degrees in June when I first got my S, so the temperature drop to our 70 degree "winter" temperatures, and the lack of having to run the A/C all the time made for quite a performance improvement by itself since then. So i figured I'd go stock through the first set of tires, and then go from there. The new KDWs are now on, and the HDI is on order, let the modding commense hehe.

heehee - i opened up my alta intake at christmas BEFORE I opened the present that was my build sheet!

Randy's box looks good, but i won't be swapping out for it. If this & the alta were out at the same time, who knows. I'm not looking for every single last drop of HP, just well thought out products that look work & good, and don't destroy the budget.

good luck with it Randy!
