I haven't noticed any noise from that area, however, there's a high pitched swooshing noise on throttle, I suspect it's the higher pressure in the fuel rail, but it might just be intake noise.

The car is at MOS now to be worked on. What I find funny is that I was not given a mini while they work on the car. I bought the car from them in 2005.

The milltek seem to give me a kick at 3500 to 4500. The car felt like someone is gaving it an extra push.
I don't think there would be a clearance problem, I'd referring to installing the Dinan Strut brace instead of the M7, but using the M7 plates, IF the bolts line up.

When looking at the different exhausts, you might want to consider weight, the Dinan is at least 40 pounds lighter than stock.

Dinan seems more substantial and also adjustable, though unlike the engine upgrades, it is also a bit more expensive than JCW.

Hopefully, we'll be able to get together at one of the events in the near future and compare notes after all our work is done.
Nice Is everything else stock at this point?

That price is include the whole suspension kit (struts and springs) @ $655. I got mine from Morristown.
The exhaust is $675. They don't ship the exhaust though. Pick up or in house install only. I have them installed the exhaust for me.

Yeah, MoS has a limited number of loaner MINIs, and once they run out (doesn't take long), it's often Enterprise that fills in the void... with whatever econoboxes they use in their fleet.

I imagine the number of loaner MINIs is even lesser now, as they try to sell their R50/R53 stock and move on to R56 stock.

Hey Scavenger, yup, everything else is stock (except for some cool "S" labels from Ascetic Creations covering my visor airbag warnings). I'm looking forward to getting going on mods! Budget-wise, I have to start off slower than I was hoping in terms of the number of things done, but that's the way it goes. At least I can still take advantage of the 15% sale!

Will you be at the breakfast this weekend or the R56 kick-off later in the month? I would like to see your car with the Dinan exhaust, etc. in person, if I get a chance.

I'm not planning on going to the breakfast, that's a long ways for me. I was planning to go to the R56 event though, but now I'm actually not sure. Still hoping to though.

I know, it is far from VA, but I've had things come up the last couple of events and I want to meet everyone (plus looking for good motoring excuses) . Hope you can make it to the MoS event!

I think Dinan only did a axel back exhaust becuse the mini aready has a strait flowing pipe that is of optimum size for the mini to the effect where it will give added preformance and maintain fuel efficinacy to an extent. Im not to sure on this it just seems like why they did this.

I've heard a Dinan Exhaust on start up and reved it a little, didnt seem all to loud at all, my Buddies MCS had the Bolra Race Exhaust AND THAT WAS LOUD! on a scale to 1-10 (ten being really loud) how loud would you rate the Dinan muffler.

I've attached a little route map for you.... Believe me, it'll make for a very interesting ride. I've got you at about 134 miles and should only take you about 3.5 hours IF you catch the ferry quickly.

Well, after reading numerous articles and posts on here about the Dinan products, and after thinking about it for several weeks i finally went to the dealer yesterday and bit the bullet! I had them order the Dinan Boost upgrade kit with fuel-pressure regulator, throttle-body and stage-5 ECU. Basically the 205hp kit, since i already have the exhaust and CAI. Made my appointment for monday the 26th! I cannot wait to get the car back! I also opted for the Mini gauge kit that mounts on the steering column. I figured it will be nice to keep tabs on the added boost!

Picked up the car from MOS today with all the updates, it seems to pull faster in 5th when you mash the throttle. I did not do much because of the weather.

Yes Scavenger. JCW needs the competion to keep their prices down. Were you successful in acquiring your DINAN badge for the rear hatch?....and a numbered plaque for the engine compartment? Port MCS, keep this in mind as well. I'm not sure if DINAN offers this automatically and you might miss out if you don't ask your dealerhip to get it for you. BLKDINAN is currently in the shop for addition of the Hamann bumper and grill to match the Hamann wheels - sill and arch painting as well. My loaner is a brand new - red and white automatic Cooper. Still fun to drive and I feel right at home.

Just a thought for those who are thinking about DINAN components. Seriously consider doing ALL of the components in the series either S1 or S2 or suspension. I've seen a number of posts where someone complains about a "flat spot" or some other issue. Seems they are mixing components from other makes and complain that the DINAN products are not up to par. When I had the S1 I decide to add a 15% reduction pulley but did not have a boost system. Predictably the engine did not achieve the high rpm. My fault not DINANs. DINAN offers high quality parts. I'm fortunate now to have the S2. The engine is smooth all the way up and the handling is superb. Please reconsider mixing and matching and if you do, don't complain.
