K9MINI is going to be sporting a new WMS exhaust! I paid for it yesterday so I guess I can say I am the proud owner of this new system and waiting delivery? I waited less time to get my MCS . Can't wait to get this on the car! This will be the final touch.....unless I TC the car.......

Should bolt right up. As long as the mount points are the same as the 05. I think Randy got them manufactured to fit all the current cars, pre and post facelift though.

Smart guy, he is.

I was on the track next to this exhaust and it sounded AMAZING! It just thunders! Some of the people from my club said the only things they could hear on the track were the Webb exhaust roaring and my intake screaming down the front straight

The videos are with the exhaust in the open position. I did a video with it in the closed position but it is kind of hard to tell the difference just revving it up. There is definitely a huge difference though in sound level, especially from outside the car and inside the car. I have had it in the closed position for a couple of days and I love it. I am definitely looking forward to the valve so I can toggle back and fourth between modes.

I'm Out!

Let me preface this by saying I will someday own this exhaust. I am in no way backing out of my support for WMS, and can't wait until the SS is available.

Then let me go on to say I picked up a used Magnaflow this week. The price was right ($250) and it was local, and I know the previous owner, and he has taken great care of it, and, and, and....

I really wanted to hold out for this system, but after almost 4 months of waiting, I just couldn't continue to roll the dice for in all estimates 4-10 more weeks. Especially in light of there being no clear path to the number one thing I wanted, the valve. Also looking at almost $900 before the valve actuator kinda sunk me as well. We've got a 20 month old, and are working on another one (lots of practice) and a new GTI waiting in the wings. You all know how it goes, priorities.....

Anyway, thanks, it has been a great ride waiting for this, and I am jealous of all you who are getting it in the near (hopefully) future. Matt, I expect you to swing by my place soon so I can hear the system first hand!

And Randy and Brian, you need not worry, I am still on track for the twin charge to take place in 12-15 months

I got to hear this in person this weekend wide open, wonderful wonderful exhaust. I've been interested in it since I first heard the concept, and now its a matter of how long it takes me to save up that spare money to go ahead and order it, unfortunatly I also got addicted to a very expensive sport HD and DEs this weekend so I'll be waiting a while before I have the money but after being right next to it when Brian started his MINI, the was no question left in my mind. BTW Bith Randy and Brian very nice guys and fun to hang around but they have been incredibally busy with two back to back race weekends, if they weren't on the track themselves they were helping out someone so that everybody could have a fun time learning to drive Sebring.

Wait, so the $900 price tage is without a switch? Might have to give the M7 or a used Milltek a second look now.

I thought this was supposed to be cheaper than, or at least be comparable to the other exhausts out there? And that's $900 without the valve?

Perhaps the pricing of this unit would be assisted by everyone who's committed to purchasing one to raise their hands right now? Bearing in mind Randy probably has nearly 12-15k invested into development of this exhaust, he's got to know that in the end, it will be profitable... at least a little bit!

If we can get 20 people to say YES, I WANT THE WMS SYSTEM IN THE NEXT 6 MONTHS!.. well, maybe Randy will feel good about setting the price point with the valve switch somewhere comfortable.

All you guys that "just can't hold on any longer" and are purchasing Milteks and what-not... Give me a break. Do you serious just need that extra 8 hp that badly?

So what's up dudes... raise ya hand!

(If you weren't really clear on my vote yet, put me down for one. )

I think this is a grand idea! But in my experience, there is little wiggle room with or for Randy.

As far as not waiting, you can see my reasons above. I really wanted to hold on, but the confluence of circumstances and events just kept pushing, and sometimes you can't hold back the tide. By the same token as you say "need the extra 8 hp". Come on, can you seriously need the extra 8-10 hp this thing makes over the systems that are readily available today??

Not trying to start a flame war, just playing devils' advocate, and pointing out why for me personally I couldn't see waiting longer.

Ask Matt Weiss. He paid $875 without the valve I believe, and Randy has always maintained it is gonna run $800-$900 bills. As is stated in one of the much earlier posts in this thread the valve system is very expensive (like $200), as such it is gonna run up the price.

JfunkMd... Sorry dude, I wasn't taking shots at you personally. I really wasn't counting you in the fallout crowd since you prefaced your post with planning on getting a WMS someday. If you can say to yourself, "Hey Self, I'm gonna buy that WMS system in the next 6 months and sell this cute little Magnaflow system for a profit because a) Selling it for $400 is pretty darn possible, and b) I really want that WMS system.)... well, raise that hand!

I'd be pretty tempted by a $250 Magnaflow myself! I know there have been others that "just couldn't wait any longer". The main point is Randy will set the price point for this unit to cover his expenses and to make a profit... my feeling is if the man sees the total demand he can expect in the short term, #1, he can determime how many to have made upfront, (I imagine the greater the run, the cheaper it might be on his end) #2, he can set the price point appropriately.

Looking forward to the final numbers/price point/delivery times myself!!

I did pay $875 for the exhaust and I haven't second guessed my choice once. The problem with trying to compare this exhaust to others on the market is that it produces higher power numbers than any other exhaust on the market. It also gives you flexibility with noise, Webb's Warranty, and soon, a new real cool looking switch in the cabin. When I bought my Mini I was content on a pulley and a CAI in terms of performance mods because of the undoubtable $/HP increase, but this system met the criteria and really adds a new level of performance in exhaust systems IMO. I also believe that Randy does his best to keep prices reasonable. I was checking out some Bilstein coilovers the other day and his price was the second lowest I could find them for. Also, Randy is a pretty small operation, so finding capital for new projects like this probably comes at a higher cost to his overall operation.

I agree with all your points, Matt. Well said.
