Jason, good clips man. The AGS is even louder in person, I don't think this is going to be everybodies thing, but those that have it will (like me ) will be snapping NECKS everywhere we go.

NOW WHERE IS MY SHIET Peter?

Its amazing!!
Sounds like the sheaaat

Now if I get that... its going to be noisy approaching and passing by

I'm thinking about it.. UUC flywheel+clutch+pressure plate or AGS+throttle body

At steady speeds, this is much much quieter than something like an alta. You can barely even hear it if you have your windows up.... well, I bet you wouldnt even hear it... I dont have the sound deadening on the bottom side of my hood and I can barely hear it. With the windows down at steady speeds it sounds sort of like a jet engine's whistle.

JCampos,

First of all, thanks for posting the sound clips of the AGS. We're all interested in hearing it.

Secondly, if you could tell us more about the drive-by clip, I'd really appreciate it. For example where was it recorded? Was it in an open area, or were ther nearby structures to reflect or magnify the sound?

Thanks again.

The sound clip is nice, but I don't see the need for a personal attack.

Personally I'm part of the skeptics orgy and not a fan of the AGS, but thanks for posting the video clips up. May not be able to get actual numbers but hey I guess atleast you can hear what it's going to sound like.

That's a commonly know as dyno-phobia or AGS syndrome.

Thanks for the vids!!

I am taking the middle ground with the argument. Part of what I want to see is people's experiences (likes/dislikes) with a product, and their overall impression, and the other 1/2 of me wants numbers.

In a couple more months I think we'll have a solid understanding of what the Mini community thinks of the AGS...and hopefully someone will put up some numbers for us along the way :thumbsup

I am curious how you can say you are not a fan of the AGS.. A product that was literaly released 3 days ago.. only a small number of people actually have one.. yet you are NOT a fan.

You dont know anything about the product short of the hype and hysteria. Why not give the product a chance to meet the market before you make up your mind?? seems fair enough doesn't it??

He didn't attack the product, just said he wasn't a fan. What is the difference if he says he isn't a fan and a loads of others are saying it is the best product ever. The people who are so positive of the product, aren't giving the product a chance either, and they are jumping on the hype. Maybe he didn't like the sound, which I don't either. So I am not a big fan either. Someone posted the sound, I didn't like the sound, so I don't think it was based on hype. Most of the reason people purchase the intake is for sound anyway. A lot of people say for performance, but heck there are more screen doors on submarines than the number of dyno plots ever seen on these boards for the various intakes on the market.
