Totally OT, but is the promised M7 SC also poised to hit the market? What's up with this product...? Insulated from the SC pulley -- with a ceramic coating? Active heat management thru finning / slotting? Belt slippage managed by a new tensioner...? Hmmm... -B

Per the M7 web site:

The M7 Technology Pulley goes way beyond a simple supercharger reduction pulley, improving performance and efficiency in four distinct ways:
  • Passive heat management: Reduces thermal transfer to the belt from the supercharger shaft,
  • Active heat management: Keeps your supercharger assembly cooler.
  • Reduced belt slippage: Prevents damage and abnormal wear to your belts, and provides that extra bit of power that would be lost to the friction and slippage inherent in other systems
  • Reduced belt squirm thanks to a CAD-optimized belt-to-pulley interface

Didn't want to discuss the pulley right now, but here it is...

I'm expecting the a sample with our coating today, we will have it mounted
and tested shortly, and if everything is ok, we will make an announcement
with all the specifics.....

It will be a tight squeeze but it should do it. Worst case would be to screw a plug on the present hole and re drill another one in a slightly different place.

At the very least, you guys have created more anticipation about the AGS than any other product I have seen on this board so far. Can't wait to see the final pics and data numbers...can't wait for the latter 15 page discussion about your pulley...

Updates?

Just curious if there's been any more progress with the AGS. It's been a couple of weeks since any updates were posted. I'm trying to decide if I should just purchase the JCW CAI I have on order or try to wait it out for the AGS.

I can't wait for the AGS either! But it is nice to see a company taking the time to offer a quality product instead of rushing to the market. Thanks for keeping us updated:smile:

Here's the lowdown on the M7 AGS project......

1. AGS tube done.

2. Filter system, we should get final production parts late this week.

3. Custom heatshield done tomorrow.

4. Name plaque, with window for carb cert#, done.

5. All the periferall hardware, hoses, connectors and clamps, done.

This week we are also doing dyno runs on the system, to find out
excactly what to expect out of the "Air Gain System" we will let you know
asap

How difficult it is to install the AGS? Do you need to remove the bumper and radiator?

You will have to remove the bumper and pull the radiator (housing and all) out a bit to remove and replace the pieces. Not hard, prob. take about 2hrs.

There might be another way, but that's basically what I did when I removed the stock SC inlet tube.

The install looks harder then it is, I can do it in less then an hour no problem...

As for carb certification, it will happen as soon as the first unit is produced.

We are having an install video done shortly which will be accesible on our
website. And with the M7 AGS, a printable how to is included for your enjoyment

Doing any dyno runs on a completely stock S? I'm curious how much power it adds to bone stock.
