Hmm...

JLM or Andy, the fact that the HAI just sits there exposed to heat makes me wonder. No heat shield necessary? Do you honestly believe this is better than the Alta or Madness CAI's? Or just a cheaper alternative?

Not a car guy, just a common sense guy.

for responding. Doesn't have much to do with AGS gains, but if would've tried it, I think you would be pretty excited yourself about the AGS.

btw, you seem like a mean person. Do you have any means of measuring your meanness??

Weaverpsu..... from what I have noticed with my HAI, is that it really isnt much of a HAI since at speed it has direct contact with incoming air... I see more boost with this application as well as opposed to my Alta CAI.

in the days before supercharging, a longer and tuned intake could make power. If you put cold air into it, even better. now we have the blower which totally changes the intake length tuning concept and heats up the air so much it doesn't make any difference if your air filter sees 50 or 90 degree air.

as far as flow improvement, I'm all for it, but bear in mind you will never flow more than the worst bottleneck will allow. Pop the HAI onto the airgain TB and you will have minimized any pre-blower restrictions, but whether it makes any difference for your rig will depend on the head, etc.

by the way, Peter, I think your system is OK and fairly priced; I call 'em as I see 'em without any prejudice, good or bad, vendor status or not. Hey, it's a forum, not a sycophant party.

Understandable.

Fact is, if you get AGS....then you get more flow.
More flow = more go. simple

The AGS will be THE way to go ultimately.

More than 450 Australian women are to dance naked to try to make it rain.

The rain dance will be performed in drought-stricken Ouyen, north-west Victoria, reports ABC News Online.

It was organised by local women after they found out a similar attempt was followed by rain in Nepal.

The women will be taken by bus to a secret location where they will strip off and dance, with locals manning the boundaries of the paddock to keep peeping Toms away.

Organiser Helen Healy says last week's rain was probably caused by women practising.

"Some of the women have been practising and we asked them to stop but they got a really good drenching down in Ouyen, and although it couldn't by any means be called a drought breaker it was really welcome," she said.
Dont make me hire these people to do an AGS Dance

so if your head can only flow 250cfm, what do you think happens when you hook up a 350cfm capable intake?

as far as my bro, andy: I'm nobody's butt monkey!

QUOTE]

The head's flow is maxed and it's time to spend more cash on porting if you want to use the intake to it's max potential.

The head has to easily outflow the stock runner though, judging by all the material I removed from it. I said it before....after AGS, the restriction will be the head IMO.

In case we have difficulty finding this thread in the future, just do a search on "sycophant" - a NAM first . But then to butt monkey? . Like him or not, jlm's got game with the words...

From my exhaust to now intake, and everything in between, I'm going to try maximize flow where I can/should.

Don't worry...he's got more surprises coming for ya I'm not sure what that is but I know it's coming I think he's a little sadistic and enjoys watching Jlm and Andy dance whenever he announces new product ideas prior to release

Yup. JLM + Andy = The reason to keep your mouth shut til the products are ready to roll out the door.

Tony, have you got a header yet? Ive just recently got the Miltek on my Magnaflow and I honestly dont understand why people say there is no performance gain.... torque gains are good and you can literally hear how much better everything is flowing.

ON top of that, the sound that comes out the back of a MINI is absolutely unreal... so much more growl... a little bit of a rattle at idle, but open up the throttle and hear comes to growl

Jason, I saw the thread on your header. I've been waiting I guess for someone to do a nice mild steel one, with a very good ceramic coating. Heck, even a nice mild steel one with no coating - as I'd have it done myself. Coating ss just seems wrong...

After I get the head from Peter (sort of ), the header will be a priority...

I have plenty of projects that I might be sharing soon in MSFITOY's "Winter" thread. One will be a home-brewed IC sprayer activated from the horn buttons . I already found a gear pump, thanks to Peter's help...

I hope you didn't think I was talking too much It would be hard for anyone (except the aformentioned) to assume that Peter isn't always working on something new and innovative BTW TonyB, I will soon have updates on my N2O purge system that will act as a intercooler sprayer
