For those of us with an already upgraded 61 to 63 mm Throttlebody, can we still add the M7 AGS ($299)? Does it have to be your 62mm TB or will any of the aftermarket TB work?

I assume you have tested various sized TB- any real difference using your AGS and the 61 to 63mm TB?

Will you make a similar AGS for the MC?????

You can certainly use anyones TB may it be...stock,61,62,63mm the option
that we have coming, is if you have a standard TB and want to step up for
even better "Air Gain".

We have not addressed the MC at this time, but I have a design in mind to
up the air flow rate passively.

Peter, will this system be compatible with factory intakes? The JCW system? Or...?

The M7 Air Gain System does away with all the stock/aftermarket tubing,
enclosures, heat shields, clamps, silicone tubing etc.

The whole idea with our system is to shorten the air path considerably
from filter to supercharger, and allow as much air flow/volume to enter
the SC as possible. With the M7 AGS, air delivery to the SC will not be
the bottleneck anymore.....

Love to try this on our twincharged kit.

what is the unit constructed of? (cast or plastic?)

The install of this part is not so bad if you put the car in service mode and take the driver side intercooler outlet off together with the supercharger inlet.

It's rotary molded cross linked polymer...

I have to say I was skeptical at first just because the price was on the high side but now that I can see it it looks to be a damn nice system, great jog M7 guys! Can't wait to see some before and after dyno's on an otherwise stock car and then I'll come calling as well!

Where is the air filter?

Looks interesting - even if the mold is way rough looking.

I look forward to seeing the finished product.

The molded part is taken right from the mold without being cleaned of, so what
you see is mold release (not to pretty).

The filter is situated in forward part of the engine compartment, similar to an HAI set up. We will have more images as soon as our custom made filter is
finished (Blue cotton element S&B).

Interesting idea, but I'm not sure I "get it." Whats the theory behind moving the TB and increasing the cross sectional area downstream of the TB?

I have seen the setup and there is a very large differnece in the 2 intake tubes. Its hard to tell from the pictures but the stock tube is pinched in the center which would definatly minimize the flow and the M7 unit is not.

Thats about all I know and I am sure Peter can answer better.

YES!!! Looks great Peter, can't wait to try it out. I bored out the stock intake runner awhile ago and believe it made a improvement in the higher RPM range. I posted about it, but no one seemed interested at the time.
Anyhow, looks like you've done it all with this intake system so send me one ASAP please.

For those of us with the ALTA or other aftermarket intakes...would it be worth it to step up to this? Cuz it looks bad ***.

, unless you think you'll gain more with 2 Alta CAI's.

Hi Cheese.......

Free flowing, less restriction, larger cross sectional area, higher air velocity
bigger volume of air, straight air path etc etc.

The idea is to get as much air to the SC as possible, uninterupted by protrusions, bends and decresing cross sectional area (stock tube).

Our patented AGS tube has not only a superior flow characteristics
but we also molded in a velocity stack design, making the air velocity
higher then if a straight tube was implemented.

As we designed the AGS we looked at competing products (usual suspects)
and found that the airflow on most designs was solely dependent on
filter design and that was it........

Cheese I hope that answered you question, if not feel free to call us.

Wow...incredibly interesting little set-up. I can't wait to see how it looks installed and what the dyno chart reads. Will your baseline be a stock S or one that has other mods already installed? Will this increase in air flow (over say another aftermarket intake) compromise the SC more (in terms of exposure to dust and dirt)? Are you applying for CARB certification for this and/or the TB?
