Similar numbers to the BMS plug in. Depends on conditions too. Sorry it won't upload on my phone so I can't see the pics of your dyno.

That seems good to me. Assuming 15% drivetrain loss that's 240ish crank, around 70 over stock. BT claims to hit 45-55 over stock with stage 2. I'm shooting for 210whp with my Stage 3...

I have been playing with an alta 3" turbo back catless. I have been trying to get a sound I like.
At the moment I am close. I Installed a vibrant performance 18" resonator this weekend and it made the exhaust very quiet. I was shocked. I was trying to shift a drone to a different rpm range. It helped that a bit, but I was a bit surprised how much quieter it is now.
I am just wondering what the stage 3 tune will do if anything to the sound.

I am hoping to get a bit more sound but not much.

Thanks, Nate
My tone got deeper and the bark when punched amped up a few DB's

no Drone

Yes, you'll need a PC. Run Windows on a MAC like users have. Parallels, VMWare, Bootcamp are several choices.

And so begins the task of trying to pass inspection. I'm thinking, revert back to the stock map because I HIGHLY doubt I'll pass with the Stage 2 tune uploaded, install the O2 spacer, drive around for a bit and pray for the best. Hopefully, that'll do it. If not, throw the stock dp back on (which I really don't want to do) and try again.

I was under the impression Battle can remove any reference to emissions faults / CELs in the ECU, no?

The actual display of the CEL is removed but the fault is still there.

Can't help but think about how slow my car is going to feel for that (hopefully) short period of time. Makes me sad

There is no CEL or DTC stored, but the O2 and CAT readiness monitors show "not run" when the car is scanned. Therefore causing you to fail.

Don't worry DTH2CHRM, I am in the same boat as you being that I'm in Cali. Although I may have a found a solution to my troubles...

So for those of us in emissions states, we're kinda screwed when it comes to running an aftermarket DP.

In a way, yes. It depends how deep the test goes. For example here in Cali at least 2/3rds of the monitors needed to run, and you had to pass the dyno. My MINI would pass the OBD test because 6 of 8 monitors ran, but fail the dyno because there is no cat.

Now they changed it so year 2000+ cars don't need the dyno, but all monitors must run now so I will still fail.

However that is kind of the point of the test, if you passed with an aftermarket DP then the test is kind of useless...

Yeah that'll be my option if plan A doesn't work. I REALLY don't feel like dealing with the dp swap. Lol

Wait a minute, if you install a catless downpipe and then later on you install your stock downpipe/primary Cat that you will still fail smog?

Agreed, I will save my stock downpipe. The cat back can go to the scrap yard.

So you passes smog after installing the stock DP after driving around for a day? The Cel will still be there record, mm.

You will pass, just clear DTC's so it clears memory, make sure you're on a stock tune, and drive it around a bit so the monitors run. Should pass easy.

After you go through the drive cycle it clear itself from being a permanent code.

Do you happen to know how deep the testing is in Texas? I know the inspection is a bit stricter up in the DFW area then it is down here in Austin, but I'm just wondering if maybe I can get lucky and run a catless DP with Battle's tune and still pass the emissions test.

Of course not, you didn't think you really stood a chance did you?

I am wondering this too. I am moving from Alabama where anything goes on the road to Austin and am looking for a tune and DP. Can't find much info on how "strict" the testing actually is...

Easiest plan is to switch back to the stock downpipe on the day you get your emissions test. That's what I'm going to do, luckily I still have 1.5 yrs left.

No way you can pass a sniffer test with a catless DP, the exhaust is noticeably different without the cat... I can smell it at most stop lights...
