Drivetrain Manic Motorsport brings us N18 owners OBD II Tuning! Solution is finally here!
In talks with Frankenturbo and Manic. Hopefully we can make something work in the future.
Frankenturbo is a good turbo at a good price. Just all the tuners basically gave up on it. Idk why. Hope manic can make something happen.

Just put the Aquamist HFS-4 kit on my car. Ran Performance Map C on the SPS switch (Tuned for Meth). Car pulls STRONG! Definitely more than my existing 215whp 241wtq on the Cooper S turbo! Wonder what it would dyno at now
That's great! Was thinking of the same kit for next year. How much boost you able to hold with the map c on the stock turbo? Sent from my iPhone using IB AutoGroup
Stock turbo? I'm able to hold 19-20 psi
you're getting out of control here, son! =) as it turns out, i may end up keeping my mini. too bad i paid as much for 15k service on my other car as i would have paid on a manic tune! anyways, once i move up north, you're gonna have to let me know when you're in SF. i want to see what map C feels like.

works for me. tell him to take his time, and offer intro pricing in July! =) actually, i might leave the mini for my mother-in-law to drive, and take her car as a city beater. wouldn't want to park the mini on the streets of SF. i'm looking to roll into a tdi of some sort sometime down the road. so looks like JB+ only for the time being.
Thats good. So, you are seeing 19-20 psi on map C and how much on Map B? Im really looking forward to the SPS switch! Still hasn't arrived... I will be dumping race gas in the car and testing out Map C as well.

Also get something easy to park in SF streets. Golf TDI or something. Maybe used so you don't feel so bad when it gets dinged.
Hope you enjoy the city! JB+ is still an awesome product that transforms the Mini. Still to this day don't regret getting it.
Well it goes up and down. Was a cold night yesterday and saw like 18-19 psi. But pulled hard! No traction in 2nd! Need wider tires. Probably timing advance and other goodies.

120 on those roads dude? plenty crazy not in person!
yeah, would love the golf tdi. it all depends on my driving habits. if i do a lot of freeway driving, then tdi. if not, then i'm open to whatever.

(Went on private open street)
Damn the Mini did not struggle at all. So stable at high speeds and kept pulling.
Looked down at speedo and it said 146mph.
That's when I let off but it was almost top of 6th and it still had more in it. I'm pretty confident it will do 155-160mph. Nick removed the speed limiter for me

No houses or children. Private smooth country road next to raceway. All country fields and 1 straight away.
