Nice flat torque curve, if only you could get the HP to a point to where it meets where your torque curve begins to drop off.

Nick from Manic told me about a 3" turbo back system they are working on. Eventhough allot of people say 3" is too big for these cars it seems that passing the 260whp range on the stock turbo would require a bigger downpipe. I think even just a 3" downpipe with the jcw exhaust would help the car reach the high 250whp range maybe more.

Go-cart- great numbers! Did you happen to dyno in stock mode too? Would be good to see the difference. Once I get the meth kit hooked up, I will test that way.

Make sure all you guys put spark plugs on your modification list. The stock Beru plugs suck bad with performance. Get a good set of NGK's
Manicmini.com has akraprovic parts now.
Intercooler and manic race exhaust soon.

We have large DFW Mini Club here in Texas and I am pretty sure we have a few members that own speed shop with a dyno. We would love to try and set something up for the mini owners in this part of the world.

@Johntotah94

isn't it possible to just purchase the tune/OBD II device and load ourselves?
i looked at the web site and it says that nothing is required, laptop, cables, etc!
and since we can revert back to stock or move forward with upgrade MODS, is this a correct assumption or not?

currently running stock '14 R55 fJCW w/JB+
just wondering if this is an option or not.

Thanks in Advance
Bubba

Rumor is you will be able to soon. But you still have to send in your ECU unfortunately. I called redline to confirm.

By no need of a laptop or device. They are talking about when you switch performance maps. No need to plug in a laptop or device to rewrite the ECU which can take a long time. They have a little dongle that switches maps in 1 second. Plug it in, beeps, done. But since the N18 and up motors have high grade security. They need to unlock the ECU themselves because of their high class software. That is why you need to go to a Manic dealer to get that process done. Takes about 40 minutes to unlock the ECU. But after you are all tuned, switching maps can be done in a blink of an eye. Even while you are driving on the road. It's great.

I thought the great thing about this was that it was done via the OBD port?

The tune can be done via OBD port or the ECU can be pulled and tuned that way.

Haha time to catch up. :0)

When we all got our tunes, nick (manic engineer) was here doing it. RSW now has the equipment to do the tune themselves. They are the main distributer and seller for Manic in the US.
