I'm actually going to put in Sunoco 100 today about 5 gallons straight without 93. I want to test it out. $7.70 a gallon isn't cheap lol.

Here are two 4th gears pulls, the first one without the JB+ and the second with the JB+ at default. I am using 93 BP gasoline and spraying 100% methanol in both runs. Very similar conditions, very similar results, except a significant increase in boost. And it is noticeably quicker.

Without the JB+

------------------------

With JB+ on default (50%)

Please use the proper channels, this isn't a place to contact a vendor about an issue with your order...

Excuse me if this is silly, but I can't figure out how. I can PM users but I don't see an option for him? Thought maybe it was because he's a vendor?

Can't find a phone number and emails are useless with the responses I have been getting. Didn't express the specific problem here, just asking for some advice.

Email him at Terry@burgertuning.com. That's the best way.

Awesome, thank you. I am the last person to complain via an open forum but I hit a head end with contact info.

If you click on the 'CONTACT' tab on Burgers website - you have the contact info you need.

Has anyone else with a CAI noticed that aside from the obvious louder sound of the diverter valve, that it also makes a different sound altogether sometimes, lately I've noticed at a redline shift at full boost that instead of a hiss sound you can actually hear the rubber valve itself? Is this just because of the increased PSI?

Is your car an automatic, and do you have a tune on it

I hear that on mine with an AP at 18+ psi. Using a DOS V1 intake.

Sent from my Nexus using NAMotoring

Got bored today.

So, past couple days I've been running the JB+ at 60% (1 O'clock position) with my W/M kit running spot on. Was seeing sub ambient temps, and timing climbing to 6 deg average. I've decided to up the JB+ to 70% (2 O'clock). Low and behold, the DME is all about it. Pulling very strong. Seeing as high as 8-9 deg in the upper rpm of 4th gear pulls. I am still running the Boost Juice (52/48 : W/M). Later this week I am going to pick up a 5 gallon drum of Methanol, so that I can mix up a 20/80 : W/M blend. Hoping the DME will like that even more. I must say, that although the power is there, I do feel a sudden on switch at WOT above 3500rpm. Never felt that with it set at 60%. Wondering if it's the boost juice kicking in or just the JB+

Great news to here. All N18's react well up the JB+, but each Mini works best at its one unique setting. When does the meth spray?

The progressive controller is a little tricky, it does not have tick marks like the JB does... I have it set to come on at 8ish psi. Full flow is about 12ish... 2 o'clock is my favorite setting. Even before my meth set up I ran it with the NOS Octane booster... MINI pulled hard but I would get interment-ant bogging when I mashed on the throttle at lower RPMs. But for now all seems well. I'm just playing with the settings until I can save enough to send my DME off to you for tuning, LOL...

I am seeing lots of Manic posts and few on the JB+. I still prefer the JB+ for my preferences. I like the ability to easily remove and don't need every ounce of power.

I did see a comment on the Manic post about "crazy lean"...

JB+ is a great product for most N18 owners, but for "us" that want to go out side the box little, then a Tune is needed. BurgerTuning makes some insane BMW turbo products, with world records and I have never seen a Burger product blow a motor.

Pretty much what I have concluded after all the threads. Perfect for where I am currently with my JCW with even more good options down the road. Thanks for the feedback.

Exactly why I'll be keeping my CAN tool once I find the perfect 135i through dealer auctions.

So I got the JB+ and it works great! Loving it!!

I also got the ELM 327, plus the Dashcommand app. I'm trying to monitor the Boost.VAC, but the Dashcommand reports it in negative. Any idea, if it app requires any configuration. Please help.

Boost wil read negative (vacuum) most of the time. It only reads positive when you are pressing on the throttle while under load. For the N18 engine it will mostly stay around -1, except when the engine is cold it will go really negative.

But just to make sure, you are using PID: CALC.BOOST_PRESSURE

Thanks so much. I added that PID and it works now.

What Boost should be seeing. The highest I saw was 10 ( but I only drove the car for 20 mins this morning).

And the engine temperature was 194F. Is that normal

Any other PID's you recommend I get?

When I was inputting the car's info, it didn't automatically find it. I had to manually enter the engine displacement.
