Did anyone lose their exhaust pops after installing this?

If anything you should experience a more aggressive exhaust note... I know mine did.

Do you still feel the power gains? And you do have your sport button on, right?

I thought I did, might have been a placebo. Yes, Sport Button is always on.

I just uninstalled it and the pops are back, I'll have to reinstall it after I get back from the gym.

Yeah, I would put some miles in without it installed. And then make sure you let the DME sleep per instructions before re-installing. Good luck.

I do it for you guys lol

No, nothing.

Although I noticed timing wasn't adjusting fast enough by the time I got to higher RPMs and the intake temp dropped drastically.

Default is honestly the best setting for worry free use....regardless of methanol or E85

I concur. No more pushing the limit w/JB+ for me. Cooper feels hella strong now that all is running in synch. Will be turning my W/M kit back on tomorrow, just for added security when pushing it in the upper RPMs.

Probably hit the boost cut. That setting is obviously too aggressive for the weather.

Just got little over 350 miles with JB+ and love it when the gas tank is above half tank. I see some differences when it is very low (1 or 2 bars) and gained the power again after the refill.

So far the gas tank was filled twice since I installed the JB+ and going to take it low to low on gas to see if I have the same power loss again.

Is this just me or anyone else also experienced the same stuff :(

Yes I know. Just had to reconfirm, would hit 18psi like clock work, but it was super hot that day.

Even with methanol the car couldn't readjust to the quick drop in temperature and advance timing.

Just leave it on default settings and call it a day lol.

I'm impressed though, the car did great protecting itself lol.

What your experience isn't possible. In fact the car would technically be slower, because your adding 80lbs of dead wait, when you fill it up.

I took mine off last night, boost is about 2-3 psi lower today with the same ambient conditions.

Talking about boost,

Should I be worried if the highest I see is 14-15 psi at most? Cerekov, temps here in Fayettenam are similar to Raleigh. Im wondering is a fully Catless exh, and larger FMIC plays a factor into boost.

There's nothing to worry about. You're in the ballpark of where you'd expect to be. Also boost on these cars is such a variable thing. Because sensors may read slightly different, and each car is slightly different especially with mods. Comparison from one car to the next may be a little difficult.

Good to know. Since the whole re-circle issue, runs like a beast. Going to hook the methanol up today, with a 315cc/min micro drop Nozzle. Should encourage the DME to increase timing and Boost a bit. 👍

is your unit a simple Analouge resistor with a adjustable screw to adjust the fueling ?

Just thought I'd jump back in here. Cerenov and I were going back and forth a few months ago trying to establish some information on timing values with different fuels etc. I have used e85 blends of about 30-35% pure ethanol and the balance pure 93 octane.

JB+ @ 3 o'clock for both:

Timing was always a bit inconsistent pull to pull and with various loads. Typically safe, but sometimes the car would feel more powerful than others. Less timing advance I think, but typically safe.

I have about 97 octane fuel in the car now with sonoco 100 octane blended with Vpower 93. Definitely much much much better running, far more consistent. Long gear, 100% load, timing drops to +3 or so and creeps back up one by one til redline. I believe that this is due to the 8% or so less fuel that needs to be injected per cycle regardless of octane. Being pure gasoline, the measurement falls closer to normal fuel numbers.
Shouldn't make a difference if everything is in balance, but it does.

Just a few more observations. Car pulls really well
