Which Intercooler do you recommend ? Are you happy with the one you have?

Thanks again!
They all are good. I have the Forge which I purchased based on another '13 owner's recommendation. The Forge fit right in, no cutting. The top mount tab (if you chose to use it) can be attached by making a tab to mount it to the on the back of the crash bumper. It is also bolted on on the lower left and right side. I welded a tab on the back of the bumper but you could bolt it on with long small diameter bolts or with self tapping screws. They changed the bumper design in '12. You will have to remove the crash bumper to get it in but its only bolted on. Here's some pics of my install so you know what I'm talking about. Look at the difference between stock and the Forge.

Intercooler pics

Go to this thread. You can see the pics there on page two. Besides its a good thread. You can see some of the data log differences between stock intercooler performance and those with stepped units:

I feel like the car pulls harder in this cool weather then it did in the summer. Keep this 40 degree weather coming.

Hope y'all are enjoying the power from the JB+.

On my second MINI that should be here at the dealer by the end of the month. Saw this product and immediately purchased. If previous products, I work on and with BMW/MINI and have extensive experience with the N54, are any indications of quality I know I will be satisfied.

Big ups on offering something to the MINI community and providing prompt communication Terry and crew. If you need anything from me either through feedback or promotion I'd be more than happy to help. I'm no stranger to having curious MINI owners sit passenger on the track.

I thought I read Canada uses the Euro standard for octane and 94 is the same as US 91. Not my expertise, but worth looking into when adjusting for octane.

I have been driving my GP2 with JB+, 9 hours after I bought the car. My dial is at 100% with 30% E85. Along with DP, IC and CAI, the car is a beast! I know Terry from my 07 335i and I trust the Burger products.

When you say 30% E85, what exactly does this mean? How do you calculate this mixture?

Also, What else does a Mini need to be able to run E85, or is it able to run it under stock conditions?

Thanks in advance... I am new to this E85 talk...

30% e85 means he puts roughly 9 gallons of 91 or 93 octane gasoline then fills the rest with e85 which is about 4 gallons.as far as i know doing 30% needs no modification but to run straight e85 you need different feul pump and injectors atleast thats what ive read

Wow LOL, simple math... Ok that makes sense. I was almost going to do this with my Tacoma. I had After market injectors, a 7th injector sprayed into the TB. But that was running off a tune mapped for such a set up if I opted for E85. Guess that's why he is running 30% cause no map or injectors... I never did find E85 but now more are popping up. Will it be a big HP gain. I'm running my JB+ at level 6 and all looks good. No CEL. AFR's stay at 14.7 and drop to 13's upon high RPMs WOT... I am not tracking timing cause too confusing. However, no CEL and or weird bogging kind of tells me my Mini is loving JB+ pushed up to 6... Let me know... Still learning the Mini Mod/tune thing....

Yea i like to know what i can set the jb+ on a stock gp. I've been told to dial it back a bit since no test has been done. I can run e85 since i have a pump down the street who has it but running e85 after time your rubber hose will turn gummy, rust will start to form on the sending unit and you need to test it during the winter months since it changed in %. So with that i like to just run 93oct at the moment and get everything i can out of the jb+ running it that way. I was going to run e85 on my other car when i upgraded the turbo since it help with knock but with all the bad stories coming out about running it for a while i changed my mind.

I believe the running e85 is supposed to raise your octane and with that im sure there is some hp gain but nothing to brag about i leaning toward it being more for the detonation and ur knock sensor . ive read people who do full e85 conversions dont remember what vehicle but can see up to 40hp gains .i have a cooper s with my jb+ also at six on 93 oct that has 10%ethenol in it and loving it with no issues but a little idle dip once on start up. I want to start graphing my runs but im running the torque app and dont believe it has the graphing capabilities of whatever perrperwhiteknight is using. I liked that setup he showed a page or two ago

Are you sure you are running 13's AFR at high RPM WOT? If so, that is too lean. Should be running low 12's. On the race track both my JCW and GPII run in range 11.9-12.2 most of the time at WOT
