You can place the order whenever you'd like. They ship in the order received.

I recently ordered my JB+/CAN and it was in my mailbox a couple of days later. Installed it on a stock 2013 Coupe S (manual). I've begun telling people I had a little voodoo installed in my car. Very noticeable difference especially when getting on the gas right after a shift. I'll get the CAN hooked up this weekend. Thank you for a great product!

For those on the fence, order it!

Being able to manipulate the ECU further with more feedback from various sensors in the engine. Whereas the jb+ is only the maf.

I'm ready for Meth and a dyno next week. Wish I would have a pre-dyno.

you still can. dyno with JB+ first, then JB+ with meth, then take off JB+ and turn off meth and dyno one more time. if you feel like it, dyno once more with meth on, JB+ off. that will get you all combinations.

Very true, but the intake, downpipe and FMIC, make it not completely stock

Be sure to install the meth nozzle before the IAT sensor. Helps create the coolest possible air charge before hitting the sensor, then going into the motor.

Otherwise the car won't pick up on the cooler temperatures, which will not allow the ECU to advance timing.

Last Meth was from Terry Burger Tuning on my 335i, I will double check on the exact placement for the nozzle. Any suggestion on nozzle size, also a picture of nozzle location?

I never did anything like this, but I thought the JB+ needed an adjustment period going on or off?

you do need some time for the ecu to adjust after installing the jb+, maybe after 10-15-20 pulls you'll achieve a plateau for power.

We can dyno with and without the JB+ but not with and without your various hard parts. :(

Received my JB+ yesterday, opened the hood, locked doors and waited 5 mins (did not unplug battery) and installed it. I've so far put 60 miles on it and I can definetly feel the difference. Before I was peaking at 14psi at roughly 70F ambient temps (have a prosport water temp and boost cage) after about 50 miles I was reaching 15 and now I can hit 15-16 no problem (did peak at 17.5 during heavy pulls in 4th gear). Waiting for my obd2 reader to come in so I can take some data logs, will also get a dyno this week. 2012 Ccooper S R56 alta CAI, hot side tube, Magnaflow catback

Here's where mine is currently at.

Burger Motorsports (BMS) Tune(s)-image-2283643230.jpg

This is further down the same pipe. Closest to the intercooler would be best. Gives the injection mixture some time to absorb the heat before hitting the temp sensor
Burger Motorsports (BMS) Tune(s)-image-3497839243.jpg

I'll be moving mine somewhere down there soon.
Although I don't know how tough it would be to remove that entire pipe, will have to take a look at that today.

Speaking with Jeff from Howerton Engineering, he said these cars ECU's do a fantastic job of adjusting fuel trims. So you can throw meth at it and it will adjust accordingly.

80% meth mixtures or higher, .8mm
50/50, you're good with a .6

Might even be able to use .7mm with 80% if you'd like. The beauty is it's all up to the user, no matter what meth kit you go with. So many combinations!

Looks great to me. What you want to watch for on timing is repeated 3 degree drops above around 4000rpm. Expect some drops from time to time but if you get them every single pull in every single gear that's a good sign that your octane is not sufficient for the JB+ setting.

Help with tuning new R18s

I have read about 15 or so replies on this thread.
I have a brand new 2013 Cooper S hard top 450 miles.
So far I installed AEN ram air system, had to do some mods to get it fit in the 2013 and could only use a short part of the flow tube because of sensor placement and shape. I also put in the Borla cat back exhaust. A Craven boost/ temp gauge.
I would really like to get some pricing and availability on the Jb tune and CAN?
I'm trying to balance performance while not voiding my warranty. So far I can bolt back on the air and exhaust in an hour if needed for service.
What would you recommend?

Thanks in advance for your help.

This probably would void the warranty if there was a problem and they knew you had it on.

Beside not having an aftermarket stepped intercooler, (which I recommend you start saving for with the increase in boost and IAT's you'll get with the JB+), you and I have basically the same setup. I've had the JB+ now for about 1500 miles. It's a fantastic improvement. For $299 it surpasses all of the other bolt on upgrades I've put in. That being said it certainly will enhance what you have with your better breathing engine. Before you take the vehicle in for service just unplug the JB+. It takes under 1 minute to do. Dont worry about your intake or exhaust, my dealer's service manager advised me that intakes, intercoolers, exhausts don't negatively impact the warranty on your engine or drivetrain. In fact he introduced me to a couple of their techs who gave me their recommendations on cat back exhaust and intercooler. Did yours advise otherwise?

Your vehicle will still be able to do 40mpg if you want but you will have 200+ WHP and WTorque on hand for fun. My Dash Command is showing I am putting out 208 WHP and 205 WTrq now with up to 17.5 psi boost (depending on ambient air temps) in the stock JB+ setting. I know you've had your car for only a short while as I have but you'll literally feel like your driving a "better one" after the JB+.

Jim,
Thank you for your reply, I checked out Burgertuning website and this is exactly what I was looking for. I just ordered the combo JB/CAN. Now I can't wait to get it.
Which Intercooler do you recommend ? Are you happy with the one you have?

Thanks again!

Evolve, Forge, and Helix are primarily the popular ones. Wagner is good so far from reviews and Tyrolsport too.

I have the Helix I/C, no problems and I've had it on since March.
