Are these kits only for the N18 engines or for the N14 as well. If so what's considered unsafe boost for an N14 (07 MCS)?

Here we go again... In other news I received mine all the way in Montreal yesterday and I must say I am really enjoying it. I had tried another piggy back solution and it was utter snake oil but this one is awesome really woke the s up. I've had some experience with other BMS products such as a tuned 135i n55 and that thing was a monster. I really can't wait to see were this is going to bring the n18. Thanks terry.

It's N18 only.

Mods, please change the title of this thread to include "Not compatible with N14"

I suggested this last week and we did not see any update to the title!

You had to be condescending enough to call him sport? Terry has a contact on BMS`s website. But don't bother because Terry has already posted that it's not definite if he will support the n14. They have a limited amount of resources for the n18 as it is. And the JB+ can't trick the DME on the n14 like it does the n18. This link may help you though

Hopefully a JB4 is planned for the MINI now that you mention it.

Curious though... Is the JB4 system similar to the JB+, or does it work differently? If so, would the JB4 work on all N18 engines or just the MCS?

From my understanding it's a Can Tool on steriods, they can add things like no lift shifting and two steps, you can map Water/meth injection, remap the steering wheel feedback, and all the options the can tool can do on top of it.

The JB4 is a different tuning system we'd like to adapt to the N18 one day.

Was able to get out to my private track tonight for a handful of 1/4 mile pulls. Running ~94 octane. Times are measured using a GPS performance box system and a 3rd party verification software. Had a difficult time launching but managed a decent 14.2@100mph. I'm sure it has high 13s in it with a better start.

Just read through all 16 pages and man I'm psyched. To think I was gonna drop over a grand on a Renntech canned tune

Any idea when a fresh batch of tunes will be rolling in? Or are your peeps still on vacation?

Is this with the stock JB+ boost settings or is it turned up?.

Did we all determine whether or not an intake is a good or bad idea with the JB+? I have a Alta I was waiting to put on, my wife really likes the sound but I am not willing to put it on the car to sacrifice performance of the JB+

With the higher octane turned it up to 75% or so. Peak boost was around 17psi in the gauge.

Anyone running their JB+ with a Downpipe or fully Catless?
Are you getting the boost you need. Or am I the only one with low boost.
I get about 13-14psi.
