My clutch seems to be fine. The Tech at MINI of Tinley Park that works on my car has a sick R53, he's cool as hell. I asked him about clutch options with my mods and he said as long as I don't slip the **** out if it, I should be fine.

Just want others to know in the Midwest, if your still interested in RMW coming to Detroit Tuned, we are at 7-8 people. One person is a maybe but I will talk to him more in depth. I will talk to Chad and TJ, Monday morning to hopefully get closer to pick a weekend in September(beginning). If anyone else is interested or knows anyone near Michigan, please have them call Detroit Tuned or PM me. Thanks!

Hey y'all so I'm sorry to report that a rod blew through the front of my engine block. The engine is completely destroyed? I took the tune off and am hoping that mini will cover it (still under warranty) But if not I'm f---ed ($5,000+ to buy new engine). I'm not gonna jump to conclusions and blame any specific thing (ETG or not). All ill say is that next time I decide to tune a mini, I will do much more thorough research before making any decisions.

So your feeling is the tune had something to do with it?

So is this the first reported case of an N18 going pop?

Let us know how that plays out Gabriel...if you don't mind.

I will. I had no idea our cars had a black box.... so I'm assuming they'll be able to read my boost levels before the rod was thrown.

How would I go about deleting my post then?.....they really check the forums?... I have a hard time believing that they do it for every case that possibly voids warranty...thanks for the positivity!.. Haha

For most of you guys, what boost are you running right now? I'm thinking safe area is 16-18. Plus I don't need anything too crazy.

really glad it worked out for you! like i said in my earlier post, i'm going to leave the mini alone for now. i have another car on the way that may get tuned, but only b/c there's a lot more support for that particular engine. we shall see!
