I have Jags' tune for my 2011 clubman s and I absolutely love it. Having a fmic makes the difference tho. Night and day. In fact my car was over boosting occasionally without the fmic. But now that I have installed my alta fmic, I have not a single complaint. I would highly recommend Jags tune especially if you have the extra cash for a fmic.

Please keep me posted especially. Jags tuned my car as well, and if there's any way to get the numbers up, please let me know.

If you are in cali or feel like mailing your ecu, get an fmic and jags tune. that will only cost you about $1400...better than doubling that price ($3800!!??) and going anywhere else.

Yes but your talking Akrapovic exhaust and down pipe. That is over $3,000 by itself. I have it and can tell you it's worth every penny.

I have NEVER heard of RENNtech saying that for an N18. They sell and recommend the Akrapovic DP for the N18...

The only company that was reported as saying that was ETG, which was because of their tune.

Yup that's also what jags said over at ETG. You may run into some over boost issues with the DP.

Well, okay... Not like I have any relationship with the head tuner... I'll be quiet now.

I'm just saying because I'd do have the ETG tune with a fmic AND a custom DP. Before the fmic, I was over boosting sometimes. DP is causing me no problems after installing the fmic. Not like I know everyone's relationship with aftermarket companies... if you know the head dudes in charge over at RENNtech, then you'd now best wouldn't you. No need to argue if you know the cold hard facts. I'm just saying I believe it because I had a DP issue with the ETG tune. But no longer cause I have all the parts to support the power gains properly.

I'm 100% with you on ETG and Jags highly discouraging any DPs because of the actual tune and the tables they were messing with. It's interesting with a re-tune and an FMIC that they would smooth that out with the DP.

I was simply throwing out there that I've never heard any discouragement of downpipes for the N18 from the RENN sales team.

Not that it really matters either way, I just think there may be more info needed there, because they're all for tuning the N18 with the Akrapovic DP.

Didn't even get retuned . But I'm the infamous customer of Jags that regrettably posted on here that I wasn't 100% pleased with his tune....but now I am so. Haha the rumors about a displeased customer can now fade. For I was that customer

Not to mention some dyno results of those ETG tunes to get an idea of the actual improvements.

Why not just dyno the car and post up a graph?

Does anyone know what kind of Boost Jag's tune is running? I have NM Stage 2 and my Aeroforce shows around 17.xx psi on 75+ degree days. I understand that NM's tunes, both Stages 1 and 2, are much more conservative for reliability than some others, but I'm still feeling like this car could handle a bit more than it currently has to deal with.

For the record, I'll be taking my car to get dyno'd on June 8th and a very reputable place near me (http://www.spracingonline.com/about/) and will post numbers when I get the results.

are there any legit piggyback tunes for the N18 besides racechip? I'm not a firm believer in the racechip's methods as it seems to be a MAP sensor override. At least from what it looks like....and I could be wrong....it's manipulating the signal of the MAP to ECU to trick the ecu into thinking it needs more wastegate duty cycle(by measuring a falsely low MAP) thus in reality causing a controlled overboost. Not sure what the fuel system does to compensate and if the long term fuel trims adjust for this increase so that AFR's stay stable. I would be more apt to buy it IF there were logs, and from what Lenny said, it sounds like the low end target boost may be a bit aggressive for this particular engine.... which makes me think, the entire target boost curve was simply raised as a whole and not actually catered to the engine. I dunno, food for thought.

From what I remember someone said jags boost is 14psi. But don't quote me exactly on that number but it's close to it.

That's sad, I hit 12psi today, no tune. Even if the number isn't 14 but around that ball park, still.....

Why will no one dyno! Lol
