Everyone else has already made this pretty clear but ill just say that its the best $120 i've spent in a while.
Glad to hear you got it working!

Spend some time on this last night, connected everything up. Had to mod the pedal pins connectors with the dremel.

But for some reason, it does NOT read the voltage on the pedal. (basically, once i have the unit in, I can't apply any gas, it's as if my gas pedal is disconnected) I wonder if I have a bad unit...

It doesn't read any voltage during the Low setting nor the High pedal setting. Anyone have any suggestions? All the plugs are in the right places, it gets power.. Did I just waste 120 bucks?

Check to make sure you don't have any bent pins. You should not have had to modify the pedal at all, only the connector they send to you.

Yes, that's what i meant, i modded the connector (not the pedal). All the pins are in tact and straight...

Without seeing how you have it connected, it is hard to say. However, it is possible that you got a bad unit. Contact who you bought it off of and see if you can swap it out.

I checked this with ZenRacing last night and they confirmed the same unit can be used on all R53's, whether manual or automatic

Hi All.
My Group buy got shut down by the mods. Didn't realize that wasn't allowed. I just ordered one from Zenaracing for $126 shipped. I imagine they will do the same for others.I'll send you the contact info I have for Zena if you PM me, and you can order one up yourself. I'll also post my experience after installing.

I thought in the previous posts it said that they fixed the connector problem to the throttle

I was hoping for straight plug and play

Just ordered mine from zenaracing on ebay. They would'nt come down on price for me though, ended up paying the full $140 shipped. If this thing works, it will be worth it.

My connector was NOT plug and play. I had to dremel in some slots on the connector plug so i could connect to the throttle. I got the connector plug to fit snug finally. But like I reported before, I was not able to get a voltage read on the machine.

Since then I haven't the time to try to reinstall yet...

I contacted the ebay seller to see what's up (cuz of the lack of voltage reading), but I didn't get a response. I'm waiting on my paypal refund. I doubt I'll get my full money back, but I may.

So far, i'm disappointed, of course cuz I couldn't get it to work. If anyone is willing to take mine off my hands and try for a small fee, feel free to send a message.

I have an R53 − 03 MCS - Stock

Question When you installed your D1 Spec. What kind of readings are you getting on the "L" settings and the "H" settings? I am getting "L0.5" to "H1.5".

And is any body having an issue with the accelerator sticking.. Like Once you hold the accelerator any where between 70%+ or at any point and take your foot off the rpms continues to clime even if your foot is completely off? I tried installing it and I having these kinds of issues. Any ideas?
I believe that low should be 0 and I think my high was about 1.5. Your throttle should not be doing that at all. I just did an 800 mile trip and did not have a single problem with it. I even shifted to ECO3 for a while to save gas and it worked great. Check to make sure none of your pins got bent and go through the settings again.

I got mine from Pete at Greasy's Garage in Mass. I'll pop him a message to see if he has ever seen this.

Just got my D1 installed, R56 here. When I calibrate, the low setting is 0.0 and the high setting is 2.0. The thing is... I can't tell if its doing anything. It seems to drive just ike it did, and did not fix my issue. However, I think it did help me figure out what my issue might be, the pedal itself.

I have been complaining about sluggish starts, where I push the pedal for a few seconds then it jumps forward. (Automatic). Well, with the D1 I can see what the pedal is doing.

When I press the pedal very slowly, nothing displays until it pops up with 15, and then the car moves forward and accelerates normally. It does this consistently. It seems like the pedal has a dead spot from stop, then springs to life at 15%. Is this normal? I want my pedal to start "talking" as soon as my foot touches it, not wait for me to press it down 15%.

Yeah, you should feel a difference. I had my car at speed and was shifting between modes and could feel the car react. ECO3 mode was used on my long trip home and I was seeing 30 MPG on the highway. Not bad for the mods that I have...
