ThumperMCS:

I thought that was the case and in reality the only reason to get better performance out of a Justa would be to get better gas mileage and perhaps a bit more low end umph

The "S" model is soooo much more performance/power oriented that if that was your goal then go buy one and end up saving time and money in the long run.

Thanks again to the guys at Alta, keep up the good work.
That's awesome, thanks for the feedback! The FMIC will help quite a bit.

Gas mileage is going to be similar to stock, unless you get crazy after installing it and turn into a lead foot!

Yes, tt will retain stock MPG. Once you do pulls and start flooring it, just using OTS Stg1 map, it will consume lots of fuel. 18-18.5psi is worlds of a different over stock.

Are the STFT and LTFT values that the AP displays expressed in percentages? Looking on Cobb's site it doesn't specify....

Are you sure its not a factor? 1.0 meaning no fuel trim adjustment...and then anything above or below 1.0 is the amount of trim?

Because it almost always dispalys 1.0....

Just a quick question...

Am I correct in thinking that this product is applicable to 2007-2010 R56, R55, R57, S's and JCW's and the 2011 JCW, and that's it?

Yes?
No?

Actually both of you are kind of right, anything over 1 is adding, but it's multiplied by 1, so 1.05 would mean that it's adding 5%, and .95 would be taking out 5%. 1.0 would not be adding anything. Hope that makes sense.

Pretty much, all North American MCS turbo models up 2010, and 08-11 JCWs.

how do I see the current release note history on AP

My AP has shown the same release note history for 1.6.3.0-607 for many months now. I'm currently on 1.6.3.2-2613. How do I see the latest notes? The AP was purchased new from Alta.

Also, all my maps show v0.00

JL,

That is normal, we haven't updated the notes since October I believe. The maps actually haven't changed in months now, the updates we've been doing since then have been adding new ECUs.

2011 mcs?

I want to know if the AP works with the 2011 MCS, since one of the above post only shows that it works with the 2011 JCW.

Thanks,
Mike

The impatience probably has to do with the statement on their web site that states for the 2011MCS , "2011 Cooper S / Clubman S (PENDING 01/15/2011)". "Pending" and specifying a certain date does imply that it will happen near that date.

True but, by the time I came around in 09 there really was not very many people talking about tuning.

I need help Accessport with A/T Problem.

I received my accessport 3 weeks ago and when i installed it all the stage 1 tunes cause the same problem. Everytime the car changes gear i lose all power and then i get a surge of power. It feels as if someone is repeadetly jamming on the throttle. Im not being picky the car is actually undriveable with the Accessport installed, and on top of that my Rpms are very unstable when the car is idleing. The car even does this when im using the tiptronic. I was wondering if anyone had this problem I have a 2009 clubman A/T with an alta CAI and Turbo Inlet. When I uninstall the AP my car runs beautifully. And ive had the car looked at by a MINI mechanic who also said everything is fine Mechanically. I Talked to Jeff at Alta but hes never heard of it before. So please any advice would be really appreciated.-Thanks

Wow... Does this mean that the AccessPort only works properly with manual transmissions?

This surging throttle thing with the automatic sounds a little on the dangerous side!

So now I'm looking at AccessPort being compatible with North American MCS turbo models with manual transmission up to 2010, and 08-11 JCWs.

Yes? No?
