The stage 3 tune is only for a car that is running a 3" turbo back or a car with a 2.5" catless turbo back exhaust. With your mods, you should be running a stage 1 FMIC.
No rush or reason to be special Chris. I was just looking for a status because I haven't heard anything. I'd be happy to wait

Okay.. I've been out in the bush for the past few months making some coin. What is the current scoop on prices for NAM'ers? I am in deffinite need of an accesport for when I return to the 'real world' with not sketchy- satphone internet.. or I'd read way back in the thread as it wouldnt take me a week to load. Im guessing stage 1 as I only have boost tubes and a K&N cold air kit.. must get in on the next FMIC group buy and a donwpipe eventually too.. Drop me a pm? or should I e-mail ya?

You know every sticker adds 10hp. That means with this AP and like 10 stickers you will get like 300hp out of it. True story.

Thanks for asking! If you are having a lingering issue with that, PLEASE e-mail Chris.Cone@ALTAPerformance.com and he can send you the updated maps. Proof of purchase may be required if the ALTA AP wasn't purchased directly.

Thanks again and have a GREAT night!

Thanks for the offer and it has been brought up before. While I appreciate the thought, we won't be offering a Group Buy on this item. It is WELL worth the price and then some! I do hope we can earn your business though and of course let me know how I can help further. I replied to your PM's as well and let me know if you didn't get them.

You should do a group buy but just lower the price by a penny and up the tax by a penny, just so people will stop asking. i would deff join that group buy (*when the 2011 ap is out)

I'll be selling my AP soon probably by January 2012 and when i do I'll post about it on here so you guys are aware of it. Nothing wrong with the AP, just getting tired of MINI and gonna sell the car so the AP will need a new home.

The only question I have is the AP is $595 for every other car except for the MINI, and I am not sure why?

Ya that is what I figured. But still it is the same AP for all the vehicles. It is just that canned MAPs that come with it.

Cost of unit and maps are based on the volume of sales.

I was told that an additional cost came from purchasing the "code" rather than cracking it. A cost that was handed on to consumers.

Porthos,

The AccessPORT is $895 for the Nissan GTR and BMW. The higher price mostly comes from the difficulty of research needed to make the unit work, and effort for tunes. Sure the Mini AccessPORT has "canned" tunes, but there are over 200+ of them for just about every modification you could possibly do to your car! Try finding that on any other AccessPORT.

I'm betting the cost of the unit is more based upon the thickness of the target market's wallets. Mini, Beemer, and GT-R folks are well-known to have more disposable income than your average Subaru, etc. owner. Hence the higher price...

The cost of the unit is really not that much because they make a good amount of them. It is the same tool for every single car that it is avialable for. It is just loaded with car specific tunes. So I gues I can understand that it took a lot longer to crack the r56 ecu then it did to crak the evo, sti, and other such cars. I would like it to be cheaper but, who wouldn't? I plan on getting one, I just wish Alta would support a catless DP so that I won't get a CEL.

Porthos,

We already support a catless DP so you don't get a CEL! I expect an order today.

+1 and yes the emails have been exchanged. Work still needs to be done on the auto tune.
