Drivetrain The Official ALTA AccessPORT Thread
I wonder if the AP came with the 93 octane tune? Been using the Stage 2 92 octane and seemed to fine. No issues to date. I had the chain kit replaced and carbon build up cleared 3 weeks ago and enjoying the 38+ mgs FOR NOW until I get bored which would be real soon.
I have not done any updates since I could not find one. If I am not mistaken I would need a DP to run Stage 3 tune / 93 octane?

If I remember correctly, the tunes are set up for 91+ and 92+. So if you're running 92 octane, chances are that's the 92+ tune. So you can use 93 octane.
As for stages, I was under the impression that stage 1 required an intake, stage 2 required a 3" turbo back setup and stage 3 required everything including FMIC a water/meth set up.....

Yup just realized my mistake. Did a quick google search and this came up from 2012.
Stage 1 JCW - ECU programming through an AccessPORT
Stage 2 JCW - ECU programming through an AccessPORT + turboback exhaust system
Stage 3 JCW - ECU programming through an AccessPORT + turboback exhaust system + boost tube + front mount intercooler

I was involved in the development and testing of the Billet 56 MCS Turbo. I did 91 octane testing. When we first ran the car with the Billet Turbo our first work was maintaining reasonable boost. It easily generated over 23 PSI 2500-6700 RPM. The turbo I have is a development mule.
Already posted here - post #2. This is tuned for SoCal 105 temps with heat soak. It is capable of far more, I was extremely concerned about reliability and when I tweaked more than this would encounter detonation under high temps and WOT at low revs. Low octane and high heat is the enemy of boosted cars. However, its interesting that my tuned Audi TTRS runs a much higher survivable boost under the same conditions.
just started on this forum... and saw the first post on this thread... and died a little inside. I am assuming at this point, there are no more alta accessports around/avaiable because I can't find them anywhere on google... Is there maybe an alternative product by this point, or am I simply SOL?

Found myself an unmarried accessport on the marketplace here, so it all worked out. Now I have another question though:
Since the accessport is no longer supported, how well do the accessport's loaded ECU tunes work as you continue upgrading your system? Right now I am pretty much stock with nothing but a hot-side turbo muffler delete and a CAI... but I am planning on putting in a FMIC and a water/meth kit. Does the accessport and its tunes still provide that kind of coverage even now that its no longer supported by Alta? Everything I have read make it seem like it should, and that it should do a damned good job at ramping up as you add upgrades, but I would like to hear it straight from some people with more experience with the accessport.
Thanks in advance

That's actually not the case unfortunately. The shop would need to have purchased the MINI license to tune it, and as of right now, there's no shops that I know of that are still around that tune the MINI AP. The only shop that I knew of was OX Speed, but I'm not sure if they're around anymore.
