you may have to use the beta firmware if your ecm is not recognized. had to with mine
I haven't connected the AP to the car yet as it is in storage for the Winter. If I do need the Beta firmware how do I downgrade? Just use the AP computer software?
Once you connect it to the car, it should bring up the proper maps for your car. Whoever sold it to you probably had an auto mini so that is why you are seeing these maps in AP manager.

Awesome. Thanks for the help. Now if only spring could come quick....
So I had an AP for my 135i and I could go here to download all the maps available.
Is there anywhere where I can view/download all the maps available for the Mini AP? Is anyone hosting these files somewhere? Have NAM users gathered all the maps in one place so we can download them?
Does anyone have a MCS 07 Stage 1 with FMIC Map without the rev bumping up and down at idle? Since Alta gave up on it, I don't know who to ask anymore.
Hmmm... Sounds like the previous owner deleted all of the standard tunes and had new ones made for their ecu or it needs to be updated. Have you tried updating?
When you install it, it should ask if you have a H910B or something similar and you have to confirm. What did it say?
And how did you find the stock ecu file? I don't see it on mine.
They shouldn't be locked. I presume you bought the ap used. I'm not positive but if the maps are locked it could mean the AP is still married to another car. If so that's not good!

Sent from my XT926 using NAMotoring
It's not locked I was able to program it with a tune labeled stock...
The ecu file was available in a drop down labeled ecu...
I don't recall seeing the H910B...
I'll check tomorrow right now it's in pieces getting the oil filter housing & oil pan gaskets replaced & coilovers installed
Hey guys, I'm in the market for a used ap. A couple of questions, where can you download the ap manager and where can you get ap maps?? I'm planning on picking one up next week.
Locked tunes mean they aren't meant for your ECU. Does anyone have some other tunes they can email to Elsonordave? Most of the ones I had on there were for a JCW.
I can dump the H910B ones off mine and email...but needing to know which ecu revision you are looking for. When you install the AP, it should ask if it has the correct car by listing it in that format (H810B was another I know of). Also, what do your current maps list as ecu rev? See this link for an example: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ccessport.html

Have you tried updating the unit to see if that resolves it? Either standard update or beta update?
