Just got a used one and installed it yesterday.

I certainly like it.

However, it did not want to mate with my PC! My computer says software not successfully installed. So I can't get any more maps.

I've got an intake and wanted a stage 1 map for the intake but I'm running one for just stock parts.

Hey Chris. I'm looking at the descriptions of a couple of my maps. Can you tell me what these terms mean?

Enable Gear Based Torque Reduction.
Load Correction Factor Set To 1.

Sounds like it will limit torque in lower gears to prevent too much wheelspin.

You must have more maps than me.

I went through mine and there's 12 total I think.

Guess it wasn't updated for a while. Problem is my laptop won't download whatever software the AP is supposed to install on it. So how do I get more maps now?

Have you tried installing the AccessPORT Manager? Without it, your computer won't be able to communicate with the AP.

Those are old notes that we made a long time ago when we were still revising the maps. None really matter to you now.

If your catalytic converter is removed, then stage 3. If not, stage 1 + FMIC

You'd want to run a stage 1 FMIC map for those mods.

Derp, searched for the software and downloaded AP manager to my PC.

Where do I go however, to easily download more maps?

I currently have 8 Stage 1 maps; 4 of them for larger FMIC.

4 Stage 2 maps

4 Stage 3 maps

There must be more right? I mean there's no map for an intake but that's a common mod.

Seriously...if all you have is an intake don't even bother loading a map onto your car. Not worth stressing your engine until you have a bit more engine mods to support your MINI...

The AP makes a nice difference, even on a stock engine. Its worth putting it on just for the boost in torque from 2500-4500.

The stage 2 and 3 maps are for a car that has free flowing, catless exhaust. Stage 1 is for stock engines, or ones with simple bolt ons, like your intake. There is no stage 1 with intake map. Try the different ones with the TPS, which is a program change to the throttle system, for a different response. See if you like it.

Mike

It sounds like you have all the maps, we never made a map for an aftermarket intake. Was there another map that you were looking for other than an intake map?

Did you check your turbo diverter valve to see if it's leaking. You may have stressed it out and blew the membrane. I'm selling a perfectly good spare in the marketplace if you need one.

I had P2885 for 4 months. After I changed my turbo oil line, it went away.

Data log and send it to Alta.

Alta.. I have installed a FMIC and high-flow cat downpipe. Currently running the Stg 1 + FMIC map. Would there be any adverse effects to running the standard Stg 1 map?

I ask because prior to install of those parts, the Stg 1 map felt stronger than the Stg 1 + FMIC map after parts install. Just curious if there is risk at all.

Mindspin, you can run a regular stage 1 map with the mods that you have.

The stage 1 FMIC map should feel better though, since it's programmed to be more aggressive. Just make sure you're doing a reflash when you're changing the maps.

Fasynugly, the stage 1 FMIC will give you an extra 10 WHP or so compared to the normal stage 1 tune. As long as you have a fmic installed, it'll work great.
