You pretty much need good brakes and/or a lot of open road in front of you, you come up on things "quick".

I took my adult son for his first ride, while we were shutting down (near the top of 4th gear) I asked him what he thought?
He said "let me catch my breath first, and I'll tell you...."

 

Agreed. One of the non-engine related mods done at the same time included a Powerbrake BBK as I was worried about my JCW brakes not holding up at the track with this much power.
