We have been playing with combinations and here are the results


RMW Head
RMW Cam
RMW 440cc injectors
RMW Race header/exhaust
RMW CP Pistons
RMW Laminova Water to Air intercooler
1.6L engine
JCW pulley

inlet temps at the end of the dyno run.........92deg F at 8k
for those of you that have scan gauges..... humor yourself and try this little exercise..... go from 0-90mph.........slam on the brakes and do it again and see what your intake temps are...... these were 107deg F at the end of the runs Once you do this you will appreciate the above

This was comparing this setup to a very similar setup running almost 4psi more of boost

 

This is getting silly. Can't wait to get mine tuned. The engines do seem to be as restricted from factory as the 2jzgte's and rb26dett's! :O

You say the higher-boost setup was "very similar" - what specifically did it have?

That sort of backs up what I have read before, that while spinning the SC faster there is a point where the heat build up degates the short lived gain... You da man Jan.

Now, is this something that could be improved on by adding, say a 15% or is this kit designed to keep boost low along with temps? The only thing high seems to be HP!

 

sure you could do that but then up go the inlet temps.......

this is more of a track application as a high rev'ing low IAT setup

look at the power band and IAT's....sick stuff

as for even more power.... it's on the way

 

So the w2a and samller pulley was what was the magic on this combo? Or strong factory car?

One more question, prior the these new mods, this car pulled 253 correct?
