Can you tell me a little bit more about the Water/Meth injection; I have bought a kit and am in the processes of the install. Maybe even some photos of your install?

Also tell us about this Tune/Tuner you are using, please

DR. ECU aka OZ is a Turkish Tuner. He tuned almost all the powerful cars in Turkey.

He does custom ecu programming.

You can see his dyne sheets;

For Methanol kit i will upload pictures to my threat.

I got the cooling mist setup with the progressive controller, and I am in the process of setting up all the mounting, I want to it to be stealthy and what you can see to look factory.

Here is my dyno results for the baseline with no Tune yet. Pulled in third gear 2000-7000rpm

2005 R53 94,000mi
2600 ft above sea level

- WMW 15% pulley with proper belt
- Electric water pump
- 380cc JCW OEM injectors
- 1 ball exhaust
- Modified CAI

92 Octane with E10.

1st Pull - 53.31 F, 27.19 in-Hg, Humidity 47%, SAE: 1.07, 183hp and 163 ft-lbs

The first pull was the best of all three. I was able to do a total of three pulls.

Orlando Area Dyno Day

Here is some of the Dyno Sheets from our Dyno Day:

First mine, an 06 MSCa with 15%, RMW Cam, 380cc Injectors, and AquaMist HFS-3.

Next is an 05 MCS with a Cam, 450cc and Head, Stock Header and JCW exhaust

This one is a heavily Modified 05 with:
RMW Head, cam, race header, "quiet" exhaust
Endyn rollerwave pistons, modified supercharger
My own special home brewed air intake.
M7 16% pulley

The car is a 2006 (Oct 05 build), 6 speed with factory LSD.

The mods are:
RMW dyno tune
RMW street cam
RMW street header
Invidia catback exhaust
Alta 17% pulley
Alta intake
RMW 450cc injectors
JCW spark plugs

Here is a couple more and I think this one is one of the most interesting; it was a bone stock 06 MCS, that the day before the tuning party got:

RMW Dominator Cam
RMW Header and Cat
450cc Injectors
CAI
15% Pulley

It was making ~150 at the wheels and after the install and tune 212WHP, that 62HP gain.

This one is a 2004 that had a small boost leak:

So as you can see a good bit of us joined the 200+ WHP Club that day.

Guess I should be a little more grateful I had a good base dyno with 183hp and 163 ft-lbs. According to the owner he does regular maintenance on the Dyno they use and when they have compared race vehicles that had their engines dyno'd on other engine dyno's they are only about plus/minus 2-3 hp and ft-lbs off.

With a tune that setup is going to 210 to 212 with ease!

I am still working on my exhaust setup to install, designing another intake to replace the plastic one after the throttle body, another IC, and a few other goodies.

And I haven't even begun to work on the head and cam.

Yeah I am shocked that someone has not made and marketed a decent intake tube, the factory unit was a real after thought.

Even if it was plastic just smooth would be ok.

I think M7 had one for a while. I remember reading about it.

Thanks. With what I have if it was a 6 speed it should be about 250HP, but with the early shifting that's the best I can do.

Yes, during the Tune Party that we did, your combo in cars that could rev to near 8k would lay down 240 to 245WHP.

I will say this it still does not matter to me, the paddle shift is still more fun that the clutch!

Also dont forget we are also losing about 17% in drive train loss, compared to the 10-12% for the manual gear box.

Please post what wheels are being used during the dyno pulls (with weights if you've got them.) Recipricating mass definitely affects WHP. Include Clutch, Flywheels mods too.

Thanks,

Sidney

Reciprocating mass is not going to affect your dyno HP numbers. It will, however, affect your acceleration to the finish line in a 1/4 mile run. 10 lbs of unsprung weight (i.e. outside the springs/struts) is worth 100 lbs of sprung weight (i.e. on top of springs/struts), which is the main reason why people run lighter rims and tires when racing. Yes, a lightened flywheel will help the motor to spin up faster, as will an aluminum driveshaft (if you have rear-wheel drive).

Remember, it's not how much HP you make, it's what you do with it. All the HP in the world doesn't mean squat if you can't get your car to hook up.

I provided some links that help explain reciprocating mass:

It wasn't cool outside. It was in southern California. Close to sea level. Wheel weight doesn't matter, they weren't even on the car during the dyno runs.

What you should have on the dyno sheet is CF: SAE Smoothing: 5.

That's just what Jan gave me. Maybe I'll ask for a different setup when I can put his bvh or meth on it.

Here I come to resurrect a thread!

Hi, I don't have a dyno sheet to share, but instead I'm looking for an idea as to what you guys think my car might be making.

Here's what I've done:
Alta 15% pulley
Alta/Helix CAI
RMW 246 cam
Megan catless racing header with resonator
NGK Iridium plugs
MSD wires
Stock tune for now
Recent top-end rebuild, valve job by hand

My current plan for next steps are MSD coil, then 450 injectors, Invidia cat-back, then to Jan for a tune!

If anyone has this same setup or something very similar, I'd love to hear from you what yours is making and what I should do next!

With out a tune and basically the same mods (minus the cam) I made 172 to the wheels. With a Tune and Injectors I jumped to 207.
