I am sure you not an A$$ but you sure came off like one, implying it was installed incorrectly. Why dont you first install it on your car and see how you like it?

Ok, all of that aside. Send me your address and I will send it to you

I am sure you're not an A$$ but you sure came off like one, implying it was installed incorrectly .K-huevo is better than the dealership, trust me. Why dont you first install the cam on your car and see how YOU like it? Then report that to all of us. Maybe a video, that would REALLY be good.

I will ship it you, yes I do want it back. It makes for a great conversation/coffee table piece.

Pm the address.

Back to the Crower cam........

I'm having a hard time trying to understand where you are coming from Thumper? At one instance you seem be saying we are not giving Newman a benfit of the doubt, then you turn right around and say the opposite? There have been pics posted of the workmanship on the Newman cam and now instances of them performing bad, plus they are expensive. I think this thread was started to show that the NitroStick is a better cam, no? I think my last statement will be in question because some people will demand dyno sheets, but has any manufacture posted dyno sheets with JUST a cam change out? Actually I think Mynes has done that?

Seriously JIMINNI? How many Newman cams are running around Europe? How many in the States? Hundreds of them in both places. I was reminded of the two problem cams here that Newman/RMW took care of in a very professional manner. Other then those I only know about very happy customers. These cam's have been in service with the 1/4" crew in the UK for a long time. These guys really pound their cars unlike? In-fact, I think the current record holder even has a Newman but I might be wrong. Not a failure one .

I truly find it that once people found out that the RMW cam was from Newman all you guys wanted one. But once you found out you had to get it from RMW you now need to find something wrong with it. CLASSIC

As for expensive??

MegaMini Cam $350
RMW $350
Schrick $400 - 500
Ultrick $379

Sound like a normal price to me JIM? Sound more like your looking for a low cost cam.

LB, first your right. I did want a Newman cam, but thank goodness I drug my feet and waited. Obviously Newman must make some good stuff, otherwise they wouldn't still be in business. And I would have still called Jan and bought one. But can you tell me why then all these cams we are seeing all look like shi_? Have you seen a Schrick cam? Now thats German engineering! And you say, " Sound more like your looking for a low cost cam." Well why the heck not?? Why pay more for a inferior product? Thats what is so good about free interprise, "you make it, they will come".
Even Lynn said to me, "I hope someone does make a better cam, then everybody benifits". Then the next guy does the same thing and we get better and better parts I hope you see where I am comming from .

If it sounds like I am slamming some one .. then GOOD!! It amazes me that a camshaft would go in a car with no spec sheet, or no idea of what the cam specs are!! " Hotrod 101: Degree the camshaft, or at least compare the specs stated on the cam sheet to the install". I dint recommend anything to anyone till I have installed and or teched it out on my own car.. My stuff ( as with a lot of others ) cost me money!! Hard to come by money...and I sure as hell want to know what I am putting in my car... or someone else's!! I laugh ( ROFLMAO) when there is a camshaft with no sheet!! and the masses are just following blindly. I am NOT against or for, the Newman ( it is on my self for install and testing) I am and will have the Crower Regrind soon also.. If it sux.. then it will be thru MY own evaluation... then it is just a matter of faith on what others think!! but Dude.. no degree card?? Then spec and degree the camshaft... ( old school... ) Even the re-grind from Crower will be checked!! As a builder I want and NEED to know what works.. and why this is better than that one.. So take offense if you wish.. I don't care.

As for wanting a performance cam for half the cost.. why NOT!! Re grinds have been around for ever.. ! The limits on the re-grind is the cam you are working off of. If The power is there for half the cost... then go for it!! I dont feel you can go too wrong when Crower has their name on the sheet!!

As for not running a dyno after a cam install only... maybe because there were only a few cams out there and what choice did we have?? Now there are more choices and different power levels from them. The Camshaft is almost the most important item in the car.. as it can make a small valve stock head run as hard as a modified head.. and visa versa. Maybe this is a wake up call on what is a good choice and what is a better choice.. but only as more are out there will the choices get more complex!

LOL as for me?? dont get your panties in a twist!! I really dont think anything I said in the past was contrary. Just following the flow of discovery on what was being said..

Just me..............................

Thumper

Cheaper power thru experience and testing! And results we all can live with!

IMO this is what we all strive for...unless we're millionaires of cos....and come to think of it the Newman Cam that I have also didnt include the cam card (the first one and the second one)....

anyways, to whom ever who has installd the Nitrostick...please show the world the performance numbers...I think everyone in the Mini modding world is interested in this one...

Stock engine and stock injectors will be fine for the Nitrostick cam...

but to get the most out of it, just get it tuned...

Just scent marked this thread without mentioning the unmentionable Banned from NAM re grinders moniker, almost. Waiting patiently for further discussion of performance enhancements obtained from said bump stick. Wheres the meat?

I think that someone already has in the works to test some of these cams against others that are currently on the market
Im also waiting for the meat.
Or if anyone remembers the "where's the beef?"

For the few tanks of gas following the camshaft install on my car, mileage is only ~1mpg down from average. Considering the amount of time my right foot's been into it testing performance that’s very good.

Nazrin,
As your car sounds loud and mean, don't rev your car too much...it'll wake up the baby.
