taking away from the base circle to get lift is not a good idea

getting a new blank is really the only way to do it right

Sold on what and based on what?? You guys are classic. Next your going to add the intake fans that Nitro has installed on his car .

Man the Internet makes me .

Wow just Wow You know Longboard you once accused me of being biased to a vendor. You come into a thread that has NOTHING to do with anything you have and you start bashing!!!!!! Why are you here? So you believe Lynn does not know anything about cars? Thats why him and Dave Crower have been friends for many years. Oh you do know who Dave Crower is dont you? You are here for one thing and that is to get this thread closed down. If the moderators allow that there are some serious problems here Dude you need to lighten up and go drive your car and stop worrying about other people and what they spend their money on, this is getting really old. There are other vendors out here other than Jan. If you are so proud of your car then thats cool, but please stop with the always right thing, it's really annoying.

Our forum is an open discussion forum where we share our knowledge and experience... We don't ban anybody if they have constructive information to share with the rest of the community.

Hubie has his cam and Nitro can share the info regarding his cam; we post actual results w/o ridicule or attacks from cronies... it's a free country and people can decide what they want to buy based on their own decision... it doesn't matter whether they choose Hubie's, Nitro's or Newman's cam, it only matters to the customer. If they are happy with their decision, that's all that matters.

Any joker can join our forum - yourself included... as long as you don't pull any 2nd grader antics like you do here, then your acct is 100% safe. I know there are a few "lurkers" over there, but we have nothing to hide so they can peruse our forum and perhaps learn something

It can be improved upon yes! I can’t answer the lift question for you because I don’t know the OE measurement, the stock rocker is just fine, there’s not enough removed from the heel to cause overreach on the roller. Lift is not the whole story on cylinder filling or evacuation.

This profile is beyond the tinkering stage.

What the hell are you talking about? I could care less about this cam or any one elses for that matter. This has nothing to do with RMW or or or.

I posted to "you" about Lynn and not his cam. If you are sucked into making a purchase based on a butt dyno then more power to ya JIMINNI.

So because Lynn knows A cam grinder that makes him "one of the most knowledgeable people that has ever worked on a Mini"?? Those are your words and I'm just asking you to explain why you believe this?? Show me something this guy has done other then polish and paint parts red that backs up your statement? Please enlighten me.

Im sold cos Lynn explained everything about the cam to me on MSN...so, I guess that answers your question LB.

The explanation was very interesting and knowledgeable...and I guess its great that at least we can step away from the norm and try something different...Heck the stuff maybe even better then the all-conquering Newman...Change is good...

Even Mike@Mynes said that the Nitrostick is similar in performance to the Hubie's Cam...and that itself should be the deal-maker...

and of cos you cant beat the price...hehehe...will be ordering my Crower/Lynn Nitrostick VERY SOON....

Typical......You have a guy come on and give a well thought out and worded view of a product that he chose to use and what happens? The Jan clan is all over it trying to make the product and the guy look bad, heck Jan himself chooses to come on and bad mouth the product. Whats funny is after he gets a look the Hubie and Crower cam profiles,Jan will probley come out with a new, proprietary, unbelievably expensive to produce cam that I and I alone will sell to you for the low,low price of..... It's nice to see that more and more people are seeing thru this .......vendor?

lol..... You might have forgotten that I have ground more cams than anyone here. It all started 4 yrs ago but let's not let facts get in the way of internet myths. Myths are so much more interesting to believe instead of the truth. We settled on Newman because the cams were done right the first time out instead of "guessing" like many of the cams I have littering up the shelves from other cam grinders. Don't be hurt, heck I had Newman make me numerous custom grinds before Hubie EVER had any of his. Again, keep up the myths..... quite entertaining.

Nice to see Lynn's fiancee on here posting for him too... I'll be on a plane for a few hrs so it will be interesting to see what new internet myths will be here next

Yes if you're in a pinch(like a bunch of Classic Mini owners) grind away. If you've got $$$ why not start grinding from a blank to maintain rocker geometry and valve lash. ie What about the valve seats, will they take a beating over time with undercutting the base circle???
