sorry, re-reading what i wrote, i can see that i was not clear in my explanation.
the data sets were from two different days, different tracks.
i ran different boost levels which correspond to different dyno hp figures.
at the different locations, the mph - 123 and 124 corresponds with my low boost setting, and 137 and 134 corresponds to my high boost setting(525whp). both mph figures were expected based on my dyno figures and calculations. however, even though the mph are drastically different, the ETs were close - 10.6 and 10.8 and 11.0 on both runs. logically, faster mph should mean lower ETs, but we are also dealing with other factors such as tires, launch, traction, etc. that have a bigger impact on ET than MPH. i have run 11.4 at 133mph, which is even slower et wise but with similar mph.

I will say it again this thread is dump and will never go anywhere.

Mynes said they would bring their car which they don't have which is why they need a car Hubie built. I have know idea what their tunes are like because they are in AZ.

In the end Jan services the Mini community across the US while Mynes services their local AZ boys. No offence to the AZ boys as I do like their style to push things more then most .

I have a question for Mynes. Whats the retail cost of the MEMs going to be? Is the MEMs designed for the end user to tune his/her own car? Is their going to be instructions to teach people how to tune? Or.. will any tuner be able to use it quickly and figure out how to tune a Mini correctly?

Yep, Hubie is a great engine builder so yes, the Mynes MINIs will have Hubie motors. And "no", we are not going to scratch off ABF's name and call it our own. We give credit where credit is due. If you have no idea what our tunes are like, then how do you know we don't have a car? Well, if you happen to be in AZ, come by the shop b/c it's real and it's not at our house, and we do have our own dyno.

It's going to be like a PnP MoTeC specific to the MINI.

perhaps, but there's a back story here that nobody's talking about. There was a big brouhaha created last year over Jan and Hubie working together and now there's this thread. yet another example on how this community can't grow due to the backstabbing

 

I know there are only two Turbo mini's in AZ and that Hubie built both. Do I have that wrong Mike? If you have built some high powered mini's please share as that's what these boards are really all about. I did on my whole build and I got lots of nice comments as well as bad ones .

I know nothing about your tunes because I haven't seen anyone on this or any of the other boards talk about them or show any before and after results. That in no way means they are bad nor did I say that but whatever. Where you guys the one's that did the Fireballed tunes?

As for the MeMs you really didn't any of my questions. I don't know anything about PnP MoTeC and I asked some very basic questions. The write up on your page sounds great but I really don't know what half of that means. Could you answer my questions. I'm not PMing because I'm sure there are more people who would like to know more.

Yep, u r correct...Hubie built both. As soon we're done with the development work on my 06MCS, then it's getting a turbo upgrade. I'm not sure how you guys define high-hp, but we've built quite a few 500+whp Evos and a couple of Subaru's. I'm sure i can get my MINI to go over 300+whp on low boost, no problem. It's not that hard building a Turbo kit for any car, we do it all the time... just b/c it's not done, it doesn't mean that it's not going to happen.

Give it another month or so, i'm sure you'll see more and more "Mynes Tuned" Mini's out there. Yes, we are the ones who tuned the MoTeC that's in the MINIUSA Dragster.

The details on the MEMS is still confiential at this time. If you do a quick search on Motec EMS, you'll get an idea of what the MEMS is going to be like. Outside the MINI world, Motec is the King of standalones (imho).
