Thanks for the spell check Mr. and your post still does not make SENCE ! Did RMW start this thread or did someone else ? What arrogant repliers have you seen from RMW ? Anything RMW has stated is true and legit.

This thread should be closed in my opinion.

ooOOOOooo look at the boys beat their chests. I hope I can make it to watch. If I could have my cooper turbo conversion done I'd show them all up

oh and am I alone in knowing that the dynapacks read high? I mean I know I have a vagina, but seriously? it's not the industry standard.

Glad I could contribute to the debate by the way Can't wait to see the videos!

LOL This is my first Post, and yes I am here cause of this great thread and event!!!

this post sums it all up. While I have respect for what RMW has done. It seems it's under false pretenses. The community is revolting just like they have in the past. Seems RMW has become the monster that it once was against. coughM7cough. Yes I have been around for sometime. Never on the forums though as it's just too much blah blah blah and bench racing.

Long story short. Dynapacks do read VERY high. Seems your vagina is working just fine Kristee. Keep up the good work.

I cant wait to see what happens with this event.

my MINI put down 238whp on a Mustang and 240whp on a Dynapack (widely diff temps too), so, that's not really true. Now, if the tooner could only get my idle fixed so it didn't run like poop when not warmed up (see previous comment about fuel cut/scaling).

Sure, there are exceptions to every rule. I have already seen many a 250 WHP MINI on a dynapack put down much less on a mustang. The reality is. they read high. Maybe not if the end user actually knows what they are doing. But 9 times outta 10 the dynapacks are reading high. Why you think RMW only tunes on them? It's not an industry standard for a reason.

Isn't trap speed a better gauge for power than the time itself?

This thread makes for an entertaining break from studying for my exam tomorrow.

Oh, and, question, what's the purpose of 2 BOV's on the black car on pages 10-11??

I've been on two different dyno's other then the Dynopack and both were within 5whp of the Dynopack. Temps ranged from 65 to 103 outside.

Um, ya... For a someone that "eats lesser beings for dinner" you sure are misinformed.

If you think the reason Jan tunes on dynapacs is only for HP numbers..... Maybe you should do more research before posting crap

We had a tune day here in Utah on a Dynapac. That thing was reading lower than a Mustang Dyno

well, for the Dynapack my car was run on, I can tell you that the guys running it know their stuff (and Jan didn't have anything to do with it beyond tuning). The lead tech was an engine builder for Penske and they had several $$$$$$ Porsches in teh shop (including ones with Ralph Lauren banners on them...tube framed fiberglass bodies, etc).

That depends upon whos drum you are beating. According to this article the Dynapak was pretty middle of the road. If you average all six, the Dynapak is within 2%. What is the industry standard?

It's the delta that matters. The dynapak does not have the possibility of tire slipping and does not factor tire/wheel weights and tire pressure variables.

defending what? that the parts work? they do and the dyno plots I have show this (as do test drives friends have taken in the car....friends with FAR faster cars). it's the tune that caused me headaches (despite two roadtrips).

I have worked with the likes of many shops and tuners. I have only started with the MINIs since they have actually been making power. yeah... I know of the RMW situation.

Where I came from? Well, Im tired of the people who claim their work to be proprietary and really it's just stolen or reverse engineered
