You right when you say it in salesman talk its not close

But when you say it factually 13.31 v 13.19 it is then when you add 108 lbs to Jove's

Myself and Jove will be having a lot off good battles this year, to say the bench racing / **** taking is out of hand on messenger is an understatement

But hats what its all about haveing a laugh with your mates and finding the incentive to go faster each time you go out.

I think thats why Jan was scared to bring his drag Mini out, not only could he not beat Hubie horsepower wise (380whp) he couldn't cut a light either what a waste of time and money, it did look so nice as well.

You better order that practise tree from Jegs Jove

Seems RMW has become the monster that it once was against. coughM7cough. Yes I have been around for sometime. Never on the forums though as it's just too much blah blah blah and bench racing.

Long story short. Dynapacks do read VERY high. Seems your vagina is working just fine Kristee. Keep up the good work.

I cant wait to see what happens with this event.
Trolling comments about false pretense = priceless

Morning ladies! nothing I said was trolling. It's knowledge and experience. Just cause I havent made my way to the almighty NAM to waste my time before doesnt mean what I say is trolling or uninformed. I have a new found reason to do it.

the definition of trolling.

Being a ***** on the internet because you can. Typically unleashing one or more cynical or sarcastic remarks on an innocent by-stander, because it's the internet and, hey, you can.

ok so maybe 50% troll. OH OH! Now I have a sig! thanks guys!!

Well, Jan is innocent? I think not. However, yeah, i am a *****. Jan is simply reaping what he sews. Let's just let the show down happen. It should be epic... and in the end. It's all in good competition. Jan knows that.

Hubie and Paul,

Since you are both drag racers and Paul is an avid proponent of the drag calculators, I have a question for you both. The drag mini is claimed to make 650HP, and weigh 1800lbs. The drag times published are 10.6 at 135mph according to the post on the home page of this forum.

Using the drag calculators, with 2000lbs. and 650hp the car should be running 8.5 seconds at 160mph. Conversely, if the weight and 10.6 ET are put in the calculator, the estimated HP is only 350.

Is there something here that we may be missing or are the calculators not always accurate?

Any amount of wheel spin can cause times to be high especially on a lightweight FWD car. Now if you your in a perfect world like the calculator calculates then yes with the perfect hook up you see 8's.

edit - I have a few friends who are in stock eliminator class and they tell me you want zero slip and perfect R/T if you want to improve your times. Maybe MINI's drag different than any FWD or RWD drag car.

I love how when your troops come to your rescue and annoy people about your products you think it's just fine. The little jan soldiers. So cute. Well, you're not the only one with an army jan.

You have taken allot with out giving credit where credit is due. Your head? Your Cam? what else? I could sit here and list it. But in the end. I dont care. It's competition. Fireball Tim did the same thing. Took peoples hard work and made it seem his own.

All you ever had to do was say where it came from. But that RMW put together the packages. Acting like it's all yours. good ole merican way eh marine?

But! This is a competition thread! Throw down boys. In the end this will all be fun. There will be excuses as always. The fan boys will continue to march forward like in some cheezy 50s gang movie.

I am not here for anything other than a good show and to shed some light on some subjects that just need to be outed.

besides, I have to up my post count

MPH is what's not as effected. It takes MUCH more HP to do the times you get from a HP calculator.

I also cant wait for Hubie's answer.

go to a FWD drag event. cars will be going 9.99s at 160 MPH cuase it takes so much power to just making into that bracket.

I totally agree. I know that only 650 gets you in to the 10's and 750-850 gets you into the 9's and high 8's on a honda eg hatch factory chassis.

With Hubie in it weighed in at 2100lb or was it 2200lb.

Has Jan found those 600hp dyno graphs of 2.0 turbo drag engine yet? Surely he must of sent you a copy Big Howe?

Also you're assuming that you know what combo was racing at the track

Hubie must weigh a lot. Even if it is 2200lbs, it should still run 8.8 at 155mph.

I'll wait for Hubie to clear this up.

I'm using the same performance calculators that everyone uses to "back up" their numbers. If it's so funny there should be an simple explanation.

Do these calculator allow you to put in variables for ground temp, air temp, humidity, altitude, tire pressure, tire temp, and then whatever engine setup. Just sayin but then what do I know, I am just a designer that lives in a little house on the praire.
