Drivetrain Invidia Q300 R56 exhaust
Yea, I know that it has been awhile since I installed the system and I still have not posted anything. I apologize for that, I have not had time to grab a friend and shoot the clips. Between work and all year round soccer it is tough. However, I am planning on doing them this weekend and hope to have them uploaded early next week.
I am still waiting for the exhaust to get broken in a bit more before I do videos. It has nowhere near as much drone as it did the day I put it on. I have a little over 100 miles on it so far. Any idea how long it took everyone else's to really tone in?
It's much louder if you are running a tune, and obviously much louder when running a catless dp. My car is loud lol and it will hurt your ears on a long drive...and I love every bit of it. I still haven't found an exhaust for the R56 that is as deep as the Invidia
Thumper,
I am taking things one step at a time. Haha. I do a ton of highway driving, so I am happy with some noise. I am quite happy with the exhaust so far. I find myself running it way up into the rev range and then just backing off abruptly. I am amazing at the pops I get between shifts. It is pretty awesome. Mine is an 08, too! Just what I wanted.

Laardilla21,
After having mine installed I do not have drone unless it is over 98 degrees outside which makes the pipe hot as it is since it is hot from the engine already. But I actually like it, it makes it sound louder than it is. Other then that there is no drone whatsoever and mine is an '09, that is unless you have weight in the car and then it is a little louder. However it really does not get louder than it already is unless you have a catless dp or tune like Thumper as stated.
I will either be getting a tune sent to me from RMW or getting the Alta Access Port so that it can be louder as I would like to have it louder than what it is now. The main reason that I did not get any other system that was louder than the invidia was because I was not going to cut my stock system. I bought Invidia for the quality and that it installed from the dp. That was one of the main reasons I purchased it in the first place. Also the reviews were great, but I wish it was louder. The deep throaty sound is great, but I wish that they did not install a resonator on the flex pipe, that probably would made the system overall louder. Anyway, again i hope to have the vids upload early next week.

Speed,
The temp thing seems to make sense. Here in TX, it has been 100+ for the past month straight. I put another solid 100 miles on it today, and it has already lost the drone I was experiencing. It really only drones when I am accelerating, but drone is all in the ear of the person hearing it. My gf said my stock exhaust droned once I dropped the resonator, but it definitely did not to drone to me. It drones within reason to me now. As long as I can cruise at 85 on the interstate here, and still have ear drums, I will be happy. By the way, the speed limit on I20 out here is 80, so that no one thinks I am a speed demon. Haha.

As promised...
Here is a video of the exhaust after about 1100 miles. It is shot with a GoPro HD. Headphones make it SOO much better.

Now to get this stupid drain plug oil leak problem FINALLY fixed.
Enjoy!

It's sideways
No earphones but it sounds a lot like mine. Even with the angle it looks like a nice install.
That's wild the way it moves in when you accelerate.
I've got a few thousand miles and about 5 track days on mine and haven't really noticed it getting louder. Maybe a tune will help that

Well, again I am sorry to everyone that I still have not posted the clips, I have taken 3 vids though. (1) is stationary, (2) is drive by and (3) is inside the car when driving. They are completed, I just have really S****Y internet (DSL) and so it is a B***H to upload it to the server or youtube. I will try at work tomorrow, since it is a T3 connection.
Ok, I just uploaded the clips and here they are at my youtube channel. There's 3 total, (1) is Stationary, (2) is Drive-by, and the (3) is Inside the car. Sounds pretty good I think for a system that starts at the downpipe and ends at the back of the car without a catless downpipe nor a tune.

I know of at least a dozen people who would take that JCW exhaust off your hands in a hurry. People love the factory JCW unit. I hear it is one of the best sounding exhausts out there for a replacement.
I finally got to take the car through a tunnel today. OMG......
I am a happy camper....
