Drivetrain Invidia Q300 R56 exhaust
The mounts im sure are ok, it is how the pipe is clamped/designed. If not tight enough it developes a "sag" to say and will droop then rattle on the cross brace.

Idk about anyone else, but my rattling was caused by the inside of the muffler tips coming lose and banging around. A quick spot weld fixed the problem. None of my pipes are welded together either and I haven't heard a rattle since.
Hey guys, read a few pages of this and found the same issue I am having...I have maybe 1/4" clearance at the front crossmember. At high speed, well highway speed of maybe 75 and up I get a terrible vibration and can even feel it in my feet. I know that's where the issue is, but my exhaust is welded. Is there an easy fix to drop it a little lower at that point? Do they make lower rubber hangers? Take it off and get the tube bent there?
Thanks, it's driving me nuts!

Just to clarify, I'm not talking about the cross brace in the middle of the exhaust, but the piece directly after where the pipe bolts on the downpipe. I don't know what that piece is called. I WISH mine would sage more in that area, it's up too high. Suspension compression is causing it to rub at high speeds.
User 1/2 inch spacer between the brace and the body
kept me rattle free until i welded it.
Only issue we had was that the Riss DP was slightly shorter than the stock DP...so I had to shove the Invidia as far forward as possible.
Soon as I started it up, I thought
Adverse Exhaust Emissions
So this morning on the way to work, I got a CEL. I was like are you kidding me. I thought it was referring to my recall on the Auxiliary Water Pump, but according to the manual, with the icon and the way it flashed up it says that it has adverse affects to the exhaust emissions. Obviously, I am in the Invidia thread, so I have the Invidia Exhaust System with Resonator Delete. Not sure what would cause a CEL, and it can't be my Exhaust system, since I only removed the after CAT that is not being monitored.
So I would say the Engine is not performing at where it needs to be so that is why it is giving off bad emissions, because obviously the Pre-Cat (before CAT) with sensors detected a bad emission. So would you guys say that the engine is not up at optimal performance? What is your guys take on this matter?

Quick Question for you all that have the Q300
How many installed it without the resonator part and how do you like it ?
Does it make a huge difference with or without it ?
Did you buy a straight pipe to replace the resonator part or only put it on without it ?
Thanks

Resonator Delete
I got the resonator deleted and then flanged in a straight pipe. I like my setup a lot. Stock it was just too quit, Invidia system with res, was definitely more loud, but still wasn't cutting it. Once installing the straight in place of the res, it become a little more louder, but not that much. Tone change was more in regards to aggressive sounding and you get pops and burbles once it awhile under 3,000rpms. For now I am satisfied with my setup, but once I am out of warranty and the maintenance plan I will be messing with the fact of getting a down pipe and then a tune to get rid of the CEL that will appear because of the O2 Sensors.
Is it worth getting it replace with a straight, I think so. A little more sound, a definite growl/tone change that I like and enjoy, (people turning their heads), performance - nothing, and maybe .5 to 1 more mile of mpg.

Question to all that have installed the exhaust, what would you guess the weight difference between stock and the invidia to be? I'm not thinking it will be a drastic change, but I'd like to hear that in hand the invidia is noticeably lighter. Thanks!

Here they are if you want to hear the difference. When you go to youtube you can just look at my clips with the res on and w/o and hear for yourself. Let me know what you guys think.
