and he was free to share them in his own threads. look over his posting history for how many informative and non-threatening threads he started - I'd wager none. Almost without exception, his 'informative and non-threatening' posts occurred in threads started by RMW or about RMW. Ask yourself why and get back to us with an answer please.

What I don't get is that he keeps bashing RMW for making just a standard "cookie cutter" cam design... Isn't that what you'll typically find in your Jegs and other performance warehouse magazines?!? You find the one that works best for what mods you have done, and then TUNE to tie it all together... Well, if you're running most of his stuff, I would venture to say he knows what he's doing...and then when tuned...another story...I'll eventually be sporting one of his "cookie cutter" cams (just when the wallet allows).

And ask yourself how many M7 threads that have been ambushed by other people?????? It's a freakin joke. And I will say again, I don't have any intrest in what M7 sells or dosen't sell, I just like all "things-threads" to be fair. But I don't belive Nitromini ambused this thread, he was interjecting his opininons just like a "certain moderator" has said is ok.... Are you saying Nitromini has no knowledge of what he is saying? Or that you just don't like him?

 

The reason why so many M7 threads get ambushed is because people just want to see facts. Until this day, no facts and hard data has been proven at any M7 threads. However, with RMW and even ALTA, both companys start a thread with plenty of information on their products with hard data to back it up. I am sure if M7 would have hard data to prove for their products, all those ambushes would of not happend. RMW made this thread showing what this cam is capable of doing. If you do not like it, then stay out of it.

actually, Lynn and I got along great....chatting over IM etc well before this recent vendetta against RMW. There's a back story here and he's on a mission. Well, he was.

I will leave when i'm good and ready. Or are you a Mod? If not, then you have nothing to say to me. Plus Nitromini did ask for ANY specs on this cam and NONE was given, or did you not pick that up? Plus show me some examples of when M7 has not given data on their products, please. Oh and BTW, do you belive that Nitromini should not be able to voice his opinions?

it's really quite simple... I give out the data of what the cam does with our tunes.... if you don't think that's ample enough with our track record....

it's VERY simple.... DON'T BUY IT!!!!! I'm not in business for letting people rip me off after I have spent thousands of dollars R&Ding product

Well I'm a mod, so I think if the thread contributors want to stay on topic and ask you to stay on topic, they have every right to request that of you regardless of their status.

Look at the thread topic--at what point did the thread change to be about challenging the validity of the product? It's obvious who started this, and as has been said, Nitro was welcome to go start his own thread and discuss it there but he chose not to.

There are so many hidden agendas around here its tough--really tough--to figure out who's trustworthy, and who's not. This keeps up, I might be able to get rid of my TV dish, following this is certainly more entertaining and cheaper...

I can understand 100% why Jan wouldn't give out spec's on anything he's developed; somebody else WILL take advantage of the R&D, and this stuff between the vendors is definitely cutthroat. I've seen Jan at work--on my own car and others, at a tuning event, and in my opinion he's totally legit, and I wouldn't hesitate to install his stuff, or have him work on my car, or ask him for his opinion on how to proceed next on my car. What he does is VERY impressive, and I don't fault him one bit for protecting what he does for a living. You're no closer to getting the Colonel's secret recipe than you are Jan's cam specs, and we'll all have to live with that. I'm fine with it. All I need is the dyno numbers.

The flip side is, and again this is my opinion, is that on these boards Jan can come off as a bit contentious. I guess all the constant BS can do that to you, but at this point I think he's well-established enough he doesn't need to defend himself so vigorously, but again that's my opinion. I went with Jan's tune, but seeing some of the back and forth on these boards, it wasn't without a wee bit of trepidation. After seeing him do the work, and work on other more complicated cars than my own, I was totally impressed. In person he's the nicest guy you could hope to meet, and VERY professional--comes off much better in person than on these boards. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to him.

I can't speak for/against other vendors, but having followed what Jan's done, I'm hard pressed to find anyone who has thought this all out with parts that work well and play well together, custom tuned it all, and posted results, who's as accessible as Jan is. So when things get nasty on the boards, I cringe and ignore it, sift through the insults, and usually end up learning a thing or two....
