here is a formula which is pretty accurate............
weight of car in kilogrammes
0-60 time = ---------------------------
maximum bhp of car * 0.9
I would say this.... ihoboy is in rare company
Porsche Carrera 4s (Manufacturer's quoted 0-60 time 5.1 seconds)
weight 1470Kg, Max Power 316bhp, Calculated 0-60 time 5.2 seconds
Porsche Carrera 4 (Manufacturer's quoted 0-60 time 5 seconds)
weight 1405Kg, Max Power 316bhp, Calculated 0-60 time 4.9 seconds
Vehicle with Manufacturer's 0-60

Good info Jan, I should be able to pull a 5.1sec
I took my wife out to buy a clubman yesterday to replace her gas guzzling ML350 Mercedes SUV and look what she came home with..... a stock 5.1 sec
She said she was keeping the ML if she got the clubman, I thought great another car for me to pay insurance upkeep etc.... then she looked over the lot and saw the 128i....... thinkin... bummer not that car.... I look over and said, "honey, there is a white one over there and it's white just like you wanted!" (so she goes for a ride in the 135i and loves it....)
I asked her.... how was it? She says it's nice.
I said did you get into it on the test drive. She says no
She didn't find out til later it has 300hp and twin turbos
On the way home I said hang onto the steering wheel and get into it.....
here is what her face looked like

Good choice
She can try and keep with your GP now

Don't think this will do much more than the ML would it? A lot more exciting though.
P.S get them twin turbos on the mini

Beautiful car, good thing it's for the wife, Bimmers are for cake eaters
add me to the huge line of cake eaters
I hate automatics but this car is one I can get used to. It's probably the best automatic car I have ever driven. Hats off to BMW on this one
seriously thinking of dumping my Audi and getting me a 6speed 135i
I've driven a manual 335 and an auto 335, both with Vishnu's piggyback. If it's the same slushbox as in the 135....good choice indeed. I'm trying to convince the wife to trade her FX35AWD for a 535ix Touring
too bad it's the wifes
looks like I'm down to begging..... I asked if I could let my son drive it at the track this Friday.... no emoticon on here for the look I got
Looks like I will have to let my 17yr old run my 2.0L GP
Surely she won't let you play with her new car
Or is it " I'm just nipping out in the 135" then she gets a fright when she drives it again
when she is out at the mall buying more shoes
I'll start flashing it....lol

I know you are always in semi-shiny shoes, don't tell me you wear the sweater over the shoulders tied around your neck when you go out!

but... I do like cake now that I quit competing racing bicycles.... it's showing around the waist line....
weigh your car when you get a chance as I know that thing is heavy... I want to calculate it against the race box and see how accurate it is
sweet
Big Show has Big GO
There's a public scale at the place next door to a client, I'll stop there tomorrow. I'm ordering the DashDyno tomorrow w/Auterra software so I can get real numbers and send the data.
How much heavier is the soft top?
