259Whp Jan is the King

Well, he's a little shorter, a lot thinner, and we don't know how he sings but he is the King of Minis. I took my stock 05 JCW car down to Jan, OK it had an OBX header, with the expectation that I'd get high 230's and 200ft.lbs. after seeing other folks results. When Jan called and said on the second run I was in the 240 club it was great. When he called after the session and said 259 I thought he was trying to pull one over on me. No joke, 259, stock intercooler, bottom end, ignition etc. Jan already posted the graph in another thread but here it is again.
I don't know if I can add anything more to the customer service accolades that we have all read or heard about, but they are all true. He won't steer you wrong and his products are the best value for the money bar none. Now I need to find a way to wipe the stupid grin off my face every time I hit 7500, and hope in the future that he finds a way to include a discounted V1 with the full monty package.

Mods are:

RMW Head
RMW Cam
RMW Complete Exhaust
440cc Injectors
17% Helix Pulley
RMW Tune

Well thats what contributed to the power, there's a few other things strapped to it as well.

I your area I'm not sure. I think Helix carries them. You missed out, Jan was just there last weekend. Give him a call, I'm sure he can help you out.

Please help me understand. First, you say stock 05 JCW, then you mention those mods, then you mention other things strapped to it as well.
Exactly what was your configuratiion for the awesome 259hp ?

Thanks...........

mini racer,

That was the exact engine configuration, that was me just saying the rest of the car has been slightly massaged as well. I don't let my wife see the running tally on the car, she doesn't want to know we've bought two Mini's

I think there were a few people at the dyno ready to pull his engine and do an all nighter to put it into their cars

Even the dyno operator continues to shake his head as these cars continue to amaze. He said a few yrs ago he thought 200whp would be about it for them with the stock supercharger.... now he is expecting me to bang out 280whp soon..........

You're going to be hard pressed to make 260 whp on an R56. An automatic may not even take that much power before it blows. Oh, and MINI's aren't rear wheel drive?

This may be a stupid question but why are some cars stronger than others?
Any thoughts on why some cars are putting out more hp with the same mods?
