God forbid someone use an acronym that your kids probably couldn't even pronounce then (lysergic acid diethylamide)...

Seriously? Are parents that oblivious today that they think if they keep their kids from reading about something until they're 25 that they'll never know what it is?

Caffeine?!? What is this caffeine you speak of? I turn 26 in a few weeks and have never read this word before and so I have no concept of what this substance is. I'm going to Google this "caffeine" and then maybe learn to free-base, it seems the next logical step for me.

Sorry to work you up Rusty, just trying to poke a little fun with my dry sense of humor. I'd be the last one to tell anyone how to live.

I apologize for offending anyone who does or does not use LSD or anyone who may not know what LSD is.

Back to trying to put the power down. Have I said how fun 259whp is

Might as well google LSD too for all the deprived children.

No biggie. I'm just snappy cause I didn't get a chance to *slip* me some *LSD* today.

heh heh putting down 259 whp... heh heh.... yeah

ok but seriously, just practice... what you used to think was throttle control becomes exponential. I have thousands in foot adjustment compared to what used to be tenths. the good thing with the SC only is it's still more linier... so once you get the throttle down there's no extra boost thats gunnah show up

just roooollll into it. No more Ham fisted stomping of the trottle.

Slow is Smooth, Smooth is fast.

this is exactly why we are going to build a 300whp s/c car
much easier to drive for the "normal" person

I couldn't agree with you more. With the JCW 210, you could use the throttle like an on/off switch. Now prudent moderation is needed. Once second gear catches in a staight line its OK. But as Jan and I talked about, the corners come up on you a lot faster now, so you have to watch thottle application as well as braking distances.

Nah, there are strong hardtops out there. The engines just vary widely .

Stock dynos are all over the place, from 140 whp to 160 whp. They call the strong ones "Wednesday Builds" .

After finally finding a video of Tüls' car on youtube I have firmly decided my wife needs a faster car.

These threads are fodder for that. (Mine if fast enough to get me in trouble as it is .)

Anyone know of a capable tuner in the Midwest or reasonably close?

I'm kinda wondering the point of having much more than 200 whp. With a puny 190 whp, I can light up the tires at any speed in first or 2nd gear and within a more limited range in third. Without significant body work, you can't fit enough rubber under the car to use much more than the 200 horses.

Comments please.

Agreed, but it's a case of "different strokes for different folks."

Also different applications warrant different set-ups. On the street, I'm content. I could use more low-end grunt at autox however, as I like to stick the thing in 2nd and leave it there.

honestly..... the car needs 300whp and 250+tq

maybe I am jaded from driving 502 cu in. big blocks

I still can't understand why people think you HAVE to slam to pedal to the metal from the get go..... learn how to modulate the throttle

You can never have enough power. I'd take 600 if you gave it to me.

I don't know what more I could pedal Mashing the pedal in first and getting into second happens so quick I feel like I'm doing the river dance on the pedals.

Besides that, if I put my right foot down any harder I'm likely to go right through the floor and be Flinstone'n down the road.
